Rio Restaurant specialises in the traditional "Churrasco" or Brazilian barbeque.
“Churrasco” is a Portuguese word which refers to grilled meat. It comes from the gauchos, Brazilian cowboys that herded cattle across the plains of Southern Brazil.
They would gather together to skewer and cook portions of meat on their large work knives over a wood burning fire. This is the churrascaria style you can still enjoy today at Rio.
And after your meal, you’ll enjoy the Rio Brazilian show with Samba dancers, drummers and acrobatic capoeira boys.
So, for a bit of Southern American flavour, take a short trip to Rio… in Parramatta. It's even under new management!
