Set on the northern shores of Sydney Harbour, Taronga Zoo’s Wild Australia Experience offers one of the most intimate wildlife encounters available in the city — a guided, behind-the-scenes tour through the zoo’s dedicated native wildlife precinct, led by one of Taronga’s expert keepers. The centrepiece is a Koala Encounter — a private moment alongside one of Australia’s most iconic species, with the opportunity for a memorable close-up photo. Throughout the experience, guests will learn about how Taronga cares for the animals in its charge, the conservation challenges facing Australian wildlife and Taronga’s breeding programs, habitat restoration projects and ongoing research.
