Exceptional Stay at Crowne Plaza Nice! I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Crowne Plaza in Nice, France, and I can confidently say it was one of the most relaxing and memorable hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel right at home, setting the tone for an amazing stay. A special shoutout to Paola at the front desk! She was not only efficient but also incredibly warm and welcoming, making check-in a breeze and providing excellent tips on things to see and do around the area. Her friendly demeanor truly stood out. Hugo and Florence, who handled the morning breakfast and bar, were equally fantastic. They went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed, and their cheerful attitudes made every meal feel like a special occasion. It’s clear they take great pride in providing excellent service. I also want to thank the general manager, who gave me some wonderful recommendations for local spots to visit. Their suggestions really helped me make the most of my time in Nice, and I was able to explore some hidden gems I would have otherwise missed. It’s not every day you encounter such a thoughtful and hands-on manager who genuinely wants guests to have the best experience possible. All in all, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. There are issues regarding the room. When I checked in at 00:30 after long long flight I couldn’t take a shower. 505 the first room i got the water temperature from shower was beyond 40 degrees. The second room 507 was the same. No cold or cool water at all. Boiling! Impossible water temperature to take a shower. And then I got 716 and the door was hard to open every time when I try to get in. The shower booth’s fixing pin is broken a bit dangerous I think. Also that room was smelly: too much perfume + cigarette like bad odor. Horrible night. The staff tried her best to change the room for us to, thanks to her. But the whole facilities needs somewhat fix. Not in a good condition.

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had, and I feel compelled to warn others. I accidentally left a large sum of money (€9,000) in the room safe. As soon as I realized, I contacted the hotel immediately. Instead of receiving help, I was met with indifference and incompetence. The staff kept passing responsibility from one person to another. Finally, I spoke with the manager, ERIC TALOU, who shockingly gave me a false police address, wasting my time and adding even more stress to an already devastating situation. Because of the seriousness of the matter, I had no choice but to return all the way from Barcelona back to the hotel in France, only to be told once again that “nothing was found” in the safe. No proof that the safe was even checked properly, no transparency, and certainly no accountability. Even worse, when I spoke face to face with the manager, instead of being professional and transparent, he started interrogating me about where the money came from — which is completely unacceptable. My personal finances are none of his business; his only responsibility was to handle the situation properly. What made everything even worse was the way I was treated. I am Romanian, and it was very clear to me that I was not taken seriously because of my nationality. I cannot help but believe that if I had been American, Italian, or French, the reaction would have been completely different — immediate action, proper investigation, and respect. Instead, I was treated with disregard, as if my problem did not matter. I travel extensively and have stayed in hotels all over the world, but I have never encountered such unprofessional, dismissive, and dishonest treatment. This experience has shown me not only that the so-called “safe” is not safe at all, but also that the management of this hotel does not respect or protect its guests. If you are considering staying here, I strongly advise you to think twice. Trust, safety, and professionalism do not exist in this hotel.
