If you do not have a car it is not the best location however if you just want to live in peace it may be a perfect place. The nearest convenience store is about 18 minutes by walking. The nearest bus stop to the HUGE Aeon mall is about 15 minutes walking. Take bus number 20. About $2usd The hotel does offer a free shuttle FROM THE SOUTH SIDE EXIT and the maisaka train station has a city bus stop on the south side exit. The #20 bus pulls right into the Aeon mall front entrance . The men's side hotel onsen is great. Both indoor and outdoor choices. You will need a shave razor/cream and toothbrush but they provide all the soap. Use your room large towel and face towel, room key and slippers. The hotel provides an amazing snack time from 4pm-6pm and again 9pm-11pm all you can drink beer, red/white wine, sake and many soft drinks. Asian crackers and nuts as well as a large assortment of sweet treats. Coffee: no in room coffee but there is a hot water pot and filtered water in the room. The bathroom is small but honestly with the onsen I never used my shower or bathtub. Not once. Honestly I would rate the hotel higher if they had ice available on the the floor, coffee pot in the room and had some bento choices at the hotel store. The free treats sort of makes up for it. The Northside maisaka station exit 1 minute walk, there is an amazing local sake store that carries all the local beer and sake for cheap. Their most expensive, About $7usd for amazing sweet and dry liter glass bottles of sake.

Decent place. Has shuttle buses to bring you to Maisaka JR station South exit. See picture for the schedule but please confirm with hotel when you check in. The room was large but the toilet was small. Bath tub for bathing for soaking is deep enough but not very big. It has a nice gift shop which opens only from 430pm to 9pm. Get some local produce as gifts. You can also seek gift shop staff to help you with sending your luggage to your next stay in Japan. If you have large luggages, it might be difficult for you in the hotel's shuttle bus.

We came to enjoy the large pool (google maps picture) to find out it is open only a month every year starting 19th July. For us Canadians it is not acceptable the pool don't open sooner at the very least the entire month of July and August. We have the view on the pool though just to torture us...
