Dear [صديقك], I'm writing to you from the bottom of my heart to share something I consider a precious treasure in my life: Islam. I've found peace and tranquility in Islam that I haven't found anywhere else, and I sincerely wish for you to experience this feeling yourself. Islam isn't just a religion; it's a comprehensive way of life that calls for peace, love, and tolerance. It teaches us how to be the best versions of ourselves and how to treat others with kindness and respect. I know you have a different religious background, and I respect that completely. However, I also believe that truth is one, and God is one, and He calls us all to His path. I pray that God opens your heart and mind to receive the light of Islam and that He shows you its beauty and greatness. I hope we can embark on this journey of seeking truth and happiness together. With my sincere love and appreciation, [اسمك]

We have had a wonderful stay & will definitely be back. Rooms are clean, comfortable & location is so convenient to everything Sydney. We were warmly greeted on arrival, from assistance with our bags, informed of what was available in house & nearby, along with the building & local area history. We came for a quick weekend trip to celebrate a milestone birthday for our daughter, on our last night we were lucky & treated to a lovely encounter with Moss in reception! What an amazing man he is, his customer service is excellent & very rare these days! We had a night cap & chatted about all sorts of subjects, family, education the world & life. Moss is an amazing attribute to this beautiful hotel & made us feel that much more comfortable & a little sad we don't have more time here, although we will definitely be back when visiting our daughter.

Not up to scratch for a business stay. I planned to be in Sydney in July, holding several business meetings over a 24-hour period, and was booked at Harbour Rocks Hotel. Around a fortnight ahead, I rang to confirm onsite dining/beverage offerings, intending to use them to host face-to-face meetings. I was assured that Tayim Restaurant, Eric's Bar and Harrington Street Deli would be convenient options. 1. I requested an early check-in and this was honoured. However, an hour after arrival, I requested a room change, as I had been placed in a downstairs room behind a staircase, next to a service area. The banging of cleaning equipment and doors opening and shutting constantly was going to be a problem for sleeping. I was then moved to a Level 1 room which was quieter. 2. Before my first guest arrived, I went to grab a quick bite at Harrington St Deli. The door was open, but all the tables and chairs were stacked up. The woman told me, "We are only open for takeaway today". When I asked why, she shrugged and told me "Not today". Right... helpful. I got a takeaway toasted sandwich which was quite good, but it took around 20 mins to prepare, despite me being the only patron there. Fair enough, Harrington St Deli was off the table. Strike 1. 3. My first guest arrived in the lobby, and we headed downstairs to Tayim Restaurant. It was dark and no-one was there. I got my guest seated and found a member of the kitchen staff who told me "We're not open today". He couldn't tell my why or when they would next be open. My guest and I then headed upstairs and as no-one was at the bar, headed down to George St, to find a cafe. Strike 2. 4. Guest #2 arrived for their meeting, and we went to Eric's Bar, which was staffed... sort of. The bar is near the Reception area and a staff member was checking in other hotel guests. When I asked about getting a drink I was told they didn't open until 3pm. Three food and bev venues, and not a single option available until 3pm? Strike 3. 5. Guest #3 and I were finally able to hold our meeting in the hotel lobby at 4pm with a drink in hand. Success at last. 6. After attending an evening function that night, I and other colleagues staying in the hotel, retuned and thought to have a drink in Tayim Restaurant. It was open.... just. At 8.45pm we were told we couldn't order any food and they would only serve us beer or wine. I'm not sure what the narrow window of time was in which we could have been served; all I know is that we missed it. We ended up doing a quick run to the mini mart down the road. Strike 4. 7. About 10.30pm, I went up to my room to find there was No. Hot. Water. Strike 5. 8. I woke at 5.30am and still no hot water. I went for a walk around Circular Quay and returned at 7.00am, by which time the hot water was on. Hallelujah! It was then I discovered that there was no mini bar, so therefore no milk to make a tea of coffee. Teabags, kettle etc were supplied, but no milk and no bottled water. Strike 6. The rooms themselves are OK but in need of TLC. Service was also just OK, but in serious need of someone giving a damn. Now cue the canned ChatGPT management response....

Great location and heritage building. Comfortable bed, good amenities. Excellent breakfast. My disappointments were several. I had three different rooms in only four days. Windows painted shut, no fresh air, hot and stuffy. The room located adjacent to reception resulting in lots of loud noise from patrons, preventing sleep. Then a 2:15am evacuation fire alarm that kept tripping with some guests not returning to their rooms until after 4am. This situation was not managed well. I had only one decent nights sleep during my stay. It was quite insulting that the room I had paid for on the fourth day was presented and offered to me as ‘complimentary late check out’. Tayim restaurant staff excellent. Reception… only one was friendly and helpful. I did not enjoy my stay as I did not feel a valued guest.
