Getting to Heron Island is easy. Fly to Gladstone, Queensland. Seaplanes and Helicoperts depart Gladstone for Heron Island daily (subject to tide times). A launch service also departs Gladstone Marina for Heron Island on scheduled days (excluding Tuesdays, Thursdays and Christmas Day). Click here for more information.

Airport transfers are not included in your package. The cost is approximately AU$64 per person (AU$69 from April 1 2019). Please contact the Reservations Team on 1800 875 343 to organise your transfers.

This will secure your package and give you the flexibility to choose your travel dates - within the book by and validity period and subject to availability. ‘7-Day Change of Mind Guarantee’ - Bookings (except for Tour bookings) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 21 days prior to the check-in date.

**Feel Like Changing your Dates? No Worries…**You can make one (1) change to the date of your booking provided the change is made no less than 45 days before the start of your original booking date and provided you choose dates which are of an equal value and are available. Any change to booking dates is subject to and must be made online in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Turtle Room - Packages are valid for two adults.

Maximum Room Capacity: The maximum room capacity is two adults. No other guests, children or infant can be accommodated.

Reef Room - Packages are valid for two adults.

Maximum Room Capacity: The maximum room capacity is three adults or two adults, one child and one infant. See the ’ Extra Guest Policy’ below:

Extra Guest Policy: An additional guest (aged 13 years and above) may stay for a surcharge of AU$159 per night, per person sleeping on a rollaway bed with breakfast, nightly dinners and snorkelling equipment only. Payable directly to the resort.

Child Policy: One child (aged 12 years and under) may stay free of charge sleeping on existing bedding with dinner and snorkelling equipment only.

Baby Policy: One infant (aged two years and under) may stay free of charge and will not count towards maximum occupancy. A cot can be provided by the resort free of charge.

Reef Family Room & Turtle Family Room - Packages are valid for two adults and three children aged 12 years and under.

Maximum Room Capacity: The maximum room capacity is five adults OR two adults, three children and one infant. See the ’ Extra Guest Policy’ below:

Extra Guest Policy: Two additional guests (aged 13 years and above) may stay for a surcharge of AU$159 per night, per person sleeping on existing bedding with breakfast, nightly dinners and snorkelling equipment. A third adult may stay for a surcharge of AU$234 per night, per person sleeping on a rollaway bed with breakfast, nightly dinners and snorkelling equipment. Payable directly to the resort.

Child Policy: Up to three children (aged 12 years and under) may stay free of charge sleeping on existing bedding plus one rollaway bed with breakfast, nightly dinners and snorkelling equipment

Baby Policy: One infant (aged two years and under) may stay free of charge and will not count towards maximum occupancy. A cot can be provided by the resort free of charge.

Connecting rooms are not available.

Please note: Boat transfers to the resort do not run on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Transfers are not included in your package, please contact the Reservations Team on 1800 875 343 to organise your transfers.

Please note: Heron Island Resort is a secluded resort and mobile coverage is not available. Wi-Fi is available for an additional charge in some area of the resort, connection might be intermittent at times.

Nightly Dinners: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are Chef’s table d’hote. Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday are themed buffet dinners. Seafood buffet will incur in a AU$30 surcharge per person.
