Hilton Times Square, New York The Hilton Times Square is an ideal hotel for a stay in the heart of Manhattan. The location is unbeatable – right on Times Square, with numerous attractions, restaurants, and shopping opportunities in the immediate vicinity. Across the street is a 24-hour supermarket, central bus stops are to the left and right of the hotel, and a subway entrance with various lines is right next door. It couldn't be better connected. Check-in & Service The entrance is unassuming; you take the elevator up to the lobby. There you'll find a bar and seating area, as well as the breakfast room. The reception was friendly and professional, and check-in was quick and easy. As a Hilton Gold member, I received an upgrade and three complimentary drink bags as a small gift. Room The room was clean, tidy, and in very good condition. We had two queen-size beds, as booked. A real highlight was the view of the New York skyline – a real treat, especially in the evening. Breakfast The breakfast was of excellent quality, and the service very attentive. The regular price of USD 39 per person (plus tax and gratuities) is certainly high. However, as a Gold member, I received a daily voucher of USD 36 for two people, so the cost was reasonable. Value for Money For five nights in August with three people, I paid around USD 2,300. Considering the hotel category, location, and travel time, this is certainly in line with the usual price range for comparable hotels in Manhattan. Special Features • The hotel does not have its own restaurant. Period. • When it's busy, there are waits for the elevators, as only two elevators go to the exit area. • There are two exits: one to 41st Street and one to the rear. The rear entrance is much more convenient for taxis, as it's easier to load and unload. • When we left, the front desk arranged a limousine service to Penn Station (USD 60). This was significantly overpriced compared to a regular taxi. Better yet, order a taxi directly from the bellboy downstairs. Conclusion A very well-run hotel with an unbeatable location for a few days in New York. Friendly service, clean rooms, excellent subway and bus connections, and fair value for Manhattan in the summer. The breakfast is very good quality, but the price is on the high side. Overall, I was very satisfied with my choice and can definitely recommend the Hilton Times Square.

This hotel is very conveniently located as it is in the center of wherever you might want to be. Close to subway, and plenty of restaurants nearby. Very close to broadway. The view from our room faces the business district. Great view of the Hudson, and tower 1. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Even the bellhop who was accosted by an extremely rude guest. The room however was in what I would consider to be unacceptable condition. Blood stains on quilt, dust on multiple surfaces, dirty bathroom and shower, and the shower head was a handicapped accessible version but it was broken and would not stay in the proper height for a person standing shower. At any price point, you should expect your hotel room at the very least to be clean and in working order. But most certainly when you pay over $700 for one night. I would possibly come back, but if I were to enter another room to see more of the same I would never be back.

Booked the deluxe king 1bdrm 1bath suite back in May for a trip at the end of August. When I went to check in, I was given the wrong suite without a notification of my room being changed beforehand. When we arrived to check in, I brought it up to the front desk and they went and talked to the manager who did acknowledge they gave me the wrong room that was booked months in advance as a diamond member. Nothing else was done. The suite we did get was nice, just not the one we specifically paid for and was really looking forward to. With the suite, we got free breakfast, 2 drinks and desserts at the lobby bar. They didn't tell us cutoff time for the dessert and since we only stayed 1 night and went after the cut off not knowing, we missed that benefit. We then used our drink credits at the bar and when asked if we could get rung up for anything to be able to tip our bartender, he responded saying we are fine and it was taken care of. It was very hard to understand what he meant and we left very confused. But then in the grab-and-go place in the lobby, it asks for a tip on the screen which is very cheap from Hilton. We asked the front desk on the best way to get to JFK in which he told us about a car service they have with the hotel for $110 (including gratuities). We agreed since a taxi could run us about that much and this was set and guaranteed. Someone came the following morning to grab our bags which we did not expect so that was nice, we meet them downstairs and are informed that the driver showed up 30 minutes before our pickup time and left so they had to call him back. Upon checkout, I noticed on my hotel bill that I was charged for "Internet Charge" when I had not purchased internet for $24.95. I submitted something through Hilton about it and the next day this was reversed. A few days later when looking at my CC statement, I saw that the car to the airport was charged for $121, not $110 like we were told. Then a few days later, it went up to $145.20?? Almost looked like that internet charge got transferred to the car. I also submitted all of this through Hilton 2 weeks ago and never heard back from the hotel so here is my official review. Hotel was clean and if you want Times Square it's obviously a good location, that is where the good things end. Haven't had so many issues at a hotel before.
