Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort is located on Venice’s Lido di Venezia, the only beach resort in the region. The sparkling private beachfront offers direct access to the Adriatic Sea, and provides easy access to the bustling sites of Piazza San Marco in 15 minutes by complimentary shuttle boat. The hotel is approximately a 90-minute drive from Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE). Airport transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

City Tax: A tax of EUR4.50 per person, per night applies, payable directly to the hotel.

Blackout Dates & Surcharges: A non-refundable surcharge per room, per night may apply, payable at the time of booking. Dates and prices are identified in the Booking Calendar. Blackout dates may apply.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.

  • Cancellations outside of the 7-Day Change of Mind period will not be provided, except as required by Australian Consumer Law, your local law or as otherwise provided for in the Fine Print.

Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for credit up until 21 days prior to the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Excludes service fee, if applicable.

Please note this does not apply to flights booked with us. Flight fulfilment is provided by the airline(s) selected at the time of finalising the booking. For your air travel, you are bound by the terms and conditions and fare rules of the selected airline(s).

Date Changes: If you need to amend your booking, you can self-service unlimited date changes in your ‘My Escapes’ account up until 21 days before your original check-in date. If you can’t find a suitable date, or still need further assistance, please contact our 24/7 customer service team. Subject to availability and surcharges.

Please Note:

  • Dining inclusions do not include drinks (unless otherwise stated). Menus are subject to change without notice.
  • Breakfast is available at Elimar Beach Bar & Restaurant from 7am to 10.30am daily.
  • Cabanas must be booked in advance. Enjoy a special rate for reservation of second-row beach cabanas for €70 per day.
  • Complimentary shuttle service departs the hotel every 30 minutes from 9.05am to 11.05pm daily (please note: no departures at 1.35pm or 6.05pm). Return shuttles depart from San Marco Giardini Reali every 30 minutes from 9.35am to 11.30pm (please note: no departures at 2.05pm or 6.35pm). Seats depend on the availability on board at the moment and cannot be reserved or guaranteed in advance. Luggage transportation is not allowed.
  • The included hotel credit must be used during your stay. Any unused credit will be forfeited and is not transferable or redeemable for cash. During the summer period, from 30 May 2025 to 15 September 2025, the EUR100 credit will be split as follows: EUR50 to use at the beach club (limited to the first row, lateral section) and EUR50 to spend on food and drinks on the property. When the beach is closed (from 16 April 2025 to 29 May 2025 and from 16 September 2025 to 19 October 2025), the full EUR100 credit will be available to spend on food and drinks on the property. The same conditions will be applicable for the EUR150 credit: split into EUR75.
  • Sunbeds and umbrellas are offered from the 6th row at the beach club onwards.

Hotel Excelsior in Venice is truly next level — absolutely amazing in every way! From the moment we booked, the service was impeccable. The hotel arranged our water taxi pickup from the airport, which made our arrival smooth and stress-free. Unfortunately, our luggage didn’t arrive with us, but the concierge team was incredible — they took charge, constantly followed up, and worked tirelessly until our bags were safely returned. That kind of dedication meant the world to us. Our room was spotless, beautifully designed, and we were lucky enough to stay in a sea view room — waking up to that view each morning was pure magic. Every night, we were treated to strawberries and champagne in our room, and they even left special cookies for us before bed — such thoughtful, elegant touches. The staff was beyond kind, always smiling and eager to help, especially the bar staff, who made every evening feel extra special. A very special thank you to Andrew, who went out of his way every single day to make sure we had everything we needed and more. His attention to detail and warm energy made a lasting impression. Getting into Venice was easy and fun, thanks to the hotel’s private water taxis to San Marco Square — such a unique and convenient way to travel. We would stay here again and again and again. From the service to the views to the people, Hotel Excelsior is truly unforgettable. Highly, highly recommend!

We’ve had an absolutely lovely stay! Tucked away from the busy streets, crowds, and endless tourists of Venice, this calm haven is just a short ride away on a classic wooden boat shuttle. We woke up to sunshine, birds chirping, and a refreshing sea breeze. Peaceful walks, charming local fare, and pristine service made it all the more special. Highly recommend this as an alternative to staying in San Marco—especially if you value access to a gym, beach, and pool, all with a touch of nostalgic, historic calm.

We had a wonderful stay here. The architecture is stunning with historic details and subtle Middle Eastern influences that make it unique. On arrival, we were greeted with a chilled bottle of prosecco and a fruit tray in our room — such a thoughtful touch. The staff were amazing — friendly, attentive, and always helpful. Our room was very spacious with extremely comfortable beds. The bathroom was a bit dated compared to the rest of the room, but everything was clean and worked well. Breakfast was excellent with a huge variety and high-quality food. The location is a little removed from central Venice, which we actually liked — it was peaceful and quiet. Just keep in mind there aren’t many restaurants nearby. We usually ate in the main Venice area before heading back. The hotel shuttle was very convenient and runs late into the evening, but it is very punctual — make sure to be there at least 5 minutes early. Overall, this hotel offers a great mix of charm, comfort, and fantastic service. Would definitely recommend if you want a quieter stay near Venice with easy access to the main attractions.

How this dump could be considered a 5 star L hotel is beyond belief. Held hostage at what I know refer to as the VENICE FLY TRAP hotel. Beautiful images of hotel on their website. Complete dump inside. Completely dated decor probably from the 70's. All the carpets are stained throughout all common areas of hotel as well as the guest rooms. Doors, moldings and baseboards all chipped and lacking paint. Some serious deferred maintenance is needed. Actually a complete renovation is needed. Shower flooded bathroom every time I took a shower. House keeping never wiped anything down in the bathroom or main room. There was no turn down service Rude staff wouldn't honor my reservation for a room with balcony. Basically told me I never made a reservation for room with balcony. Told me I needed to show them proof in writing . I had to have my travel agent track down in writing the room I reserved . Being 8 hours behind time wise it was 3:00 am for my travel agent. All I wanted to do was leave. They wouldn't let me have a credit for the room . The room in question was $5000.00 for a four night stay. after showing them proof in writing with a picture of a room with a balcony they still wouldn't give me a credit. They just gave me a dated, carpet stained, beat up room with a balcony. No apology no comp no nothing. Buyer beware Basically the worst hotel experience I ever had. Buyer be ware
