There’s no better hotel for immersing yourself in Canberra’s history than Hotel Kurrajong Canberra. A historical building that dates back to 1926, it was designed by Commonwealth Chief Architect John Smith Murdoch, the architect behind Old Parliament House.
It has played host to many politicians and members of parliament throughout history and was once home to Prime Minister Chifley, who lived at the hotel during his time in parliament. The hotel took inspiration from this famous resident for its Chifley’s Bar & Grill – complete with a whiskey bar in honour of his favourite tipple – while its beautiful Art Deco interiors, custom-made furniture, soft jazz music and library of books and artworks create a sense of stepping back in time.

Classic, Heritage and Terrace Room – Packages are valid for two adults.
Maximum Room Capacity: The maximum room capacity is three adults and one child/baby.
Extra Guest Policy: An additional guest (aged 12 years and over) may stay for a surcharge of A$60 per night, sleeping on a rollaway bed with accommodation and breakfast only. Payable directly to the hotel.
Child Policy: One child (aged 11 years and under) may stay free of charge, sleeping on existing bedding with accommodation only, and will count towards maximum room occupancy. For a surcharge of A$60 per night, a rollaway bed can be provided and breakfast will be included. Payable directly to the hotel.
Baby Policy: One baby (aged under two years) may stay free of charge. A cot can be provided by the hotel free of charge.
