OMG what a beautiful spot. Super quiet top of hill location. Away from everything. The staff is fantastic. They have a Michelin star restaurant on site. Breakfast was great. The fruit was perfectly ripe. I would absolutely go back.

Fabulous hotel in a superb location in the countryside. Beautifully renovated interior and most gracious hosts. We ate in Bailara restaurant and the food was superb. On 2 nights we ate in the bistro and weren't disappointed either. Breakfast was excellent and the buffet replenished constantly. I must say that I loved this place. There are so many local places to visit and the in-house QR code guide tells you everything. You do need a car to stay here. Highly recommended.

Hotel IJH is a gem of a property located deep in the Basque countryside. Set in a gorgeous rural environment atop a small village and surrounded by hills and farms, it is the perfect country getaway. The building is a stunning as the photographs and the rooms have an elegant vintage charm to them. Regarding food, breakfast was our favourite meal while the meals at the cafe being a little unswervin underwhelming. We never got a chance to try the fine dining option as it was closed 3-4 nights a week. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. I want to put a special mention and appreciation for some front desk staff who went above and beyond to assist me with a concern with my car rental company. I faced challenges dealing with Avis due to a technical issue but the staff helped me with the language barrier and service concern in a foreign country and I want to reach thank them from my heart. Look forward to visiting again. Also a special mention for the most hard working employee at the property the automated lawn mower. Rain or storm, Day or night he didn’t stop 😉

Rooms and location good. Need be careful here as some staff were pleasant and nice but others were poorly trained and subdued. The owners of this place need look after their staff to improve moral and training. The set up with the 2 dining rooms is absurd. You eat a poor quality meal in a atmosphere less, Uncomfortable and poorly decorated dining room (my onion soup was like drinking water) and my beef cheeks were overcooked and not tender whilst the waiters are carrying through the superior plates of the tasting menu to another dining room. Understand the differentiation but You do feel a bit like you are in Economy class
