Fraser Island is located off the coast of Queensland, just a 50-minute ferry ride from River Heads, Hervey Bay. It is approximately four hours (by car or coach) north of Brisbane CBD; a 45-minute flight from Brisbane or a 90-minute flight from Sydney direct to Fraser Coast Hervey Bay, the closest airport is Fraser Coast Airport.

Flights depart for Brisbane regularly from major gateways including Singapore (approx flight time of 8 hours), Hong Kong (approx flight time of 9 hours), Dubai (approx flight time of 15 hours) and Bangkok (approx flight time 9 hours).

Return passenger ferry transfers to the island from River Heads, Hervey Bay are included in your package.

Saturday Night Surcharge – Three-Night Package: A non-refundable surcharge per room, per night, applies on Saturday nights (three-night packages only) payable directly at time of booking. Dates and prices are identified in the Booking Calendar.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Within 7 days of purchase we’ll happily provide a full refund on cancellation of your escape (so long as you don’t have a confirmed booking/stay in the next 14 days).

Extra Guest Policy: One additional guest (aged four and over) may stay for a surcharge of AU$79 per night, sleeping on existing bedding with accommodation and all inclusions except spa and resort credit and martini with dinner. Payable directly to the resort.

Baby Policy: One baby aged three years and under may stay free of charge and will not count towards the room capacity. A cot can be provided by the resort for a surcharge of AU$10 per night. Payable directly to the resort.

Connecting Resort Hotel Rooms are available.

Dining inclusions do not include beverages (unless otherwise stated). Menus are subject to change without notice.

Please note that motorised activities (including Segway Tour, Whale Watch Cruise, Remote Experience Cruise, Personalised Tours and Transfers and Jet Ski) are not covered by the resort credit. All activities and spa treatments must be booked prior to arrival to avoid disappointment. Spa credit requires a minimum spend of AU$100 in a single visit.

Please note, ferry transfer does not include vehicles (this will need to be booked separately with reservations staff). Passenger ferry transfer timetable can be found here. Passenger ferry transfers can be arranged with Kingfisher Bay Resort after confirmation of your booking has been received.
