Koonyum Range Retreat enjoys a tranquil location in the Byron hinterland, away from the bustle of city life. Despite the secluded location, you’re never too far from the restaurants, shops, breweries and cafés of Byron Bay, only a 30-minute drive away. The retreat is located approximately a 45-minute drive from Ballina Airport (BNK). Airport transfers are not included in your package.

Koonyum Range Retreat manages to find that perfect balance between exquisite seclusion and easy exploration. Its location in the Koonyum Range, which forms part of Mount Jerusalem National Park, means great bushwalks await literally at the end of the road.

A 15-minute drive takes you to Mullumbimby, a delightful regional town, home to a golf course, markets and fantastic dining options. Known as the counter-culture capital of the Byron Shire, Mullumbimby has a laidback, alternative vibe that’s bursting with small-town charm. Byron Bay’s town centre can be reached in around 25 minutes’ drive. Hit the beach to swim, surf and sunbathe, go whale spotting (seasonal) or visit one of the many bars, restaurants and cafés.

When you’re done exploring, return to your gorgeous retreat and plunge right into your private infinity pool, which looks out on Byron’s lush hinterland and the ocean beyond.
