Every detail of the setting was sooo lovely! The essential oils and stone floors and wooden details and serene colors, gorgeous views and greenery made it so relaxing! Even the hairbrush, toothbrushes, soaps etc were extra nice. We loved the warm welcome and refreshments in the lobby! It was our daughters birthday and we let them know - they delivered the balloons our family sent us and had the room decorated and a lovely cake on the table when we arrived! We also brought a baby and it was all very accommodating for him with baby chairs at the buffet and a crib in the room (we asked in advance). The pool was lovely and the kind man at the pool gave us a lovely fruit kabob! We loved the breakfast too!!! Super easy getting to the zoos. Special thanks to the sweet lady who did our room cleaning and left everything pristine for us. And the kind Ms Joanne in the lobby in afternoons and evenings who helped direct us about the surroundings. And to the helpful and friendly front desk staff who made us feel welcome. And to Mr Noah and colleagues in the lobby who were so generous taking us all the way to the zoo trail. Mr Noah was so kind to the children and they wanted to go back and see him again!

Excellent stay at the Mandai resort. We arrived early and was provided a free upgrade to our room and early check in. The staff were very attentive and provided us with a lot of mosquito patches. They knew it was my son’s birthday and they prepared a very big birthday cake. The room was very big and well equipped. Staff was very polite and kept checking in with us whenever we were in the lobby. Breakfast had a lot of variety and was not bad. It included prosecco. Will return again

An unforgettable anniversary stay at Mandai Resort by Banyan Tree My wife and I recently celebrated our 2-year wedding anniversary with a staycation at Mandai Resort by Banyan Tree, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we checked in, the service was warm, attentive, and personalised. The team kept in constant touch with us via WhatsApp, which made communication seamless throughout our stay. Knowing it was our anniversary, the staff went above and beyond — they thoughtfully decorated our room and even upgraded us from the Tree Top room to the Tree Top Sanctuary. It was such a lovely gesture and made our celebration even more special. Our package included meals at both Planters Shed and Forage. While both offered great experiences, we especially enjoyed the fine-dining style at Forage, where we had breakfast, high tea and dinner. Breakfast was a standout — we were able to enjoy both the à la carte menu and the buffet spread, offering a perfect balance of variety and quality. The location is a huge plus — the stay is just a 7-minute walk to the Singapore Zoo and River Wonders, making it incredibly convenient for nature and wildlife attractions A huge thank you to the Tree Top concierge team for their warmth, hospitality and professionalism — especially Mr Arifin, Ms Christine, Ms Umairah and Ms Shammy. Their patience, attention to detail, and sincere care truly made our stay memorable and meaningful. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing nature getaway with premium hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

More Angsana tree than Banyan tree. Pros: Great place, wonderful hotel design, felt transported out of our tiny red dot to be in the embrace of nature. Cons: Abysmal fare. Paid a lot of money for an unforgettable 4-course meal. My partner had a vegetarian option of cauliflower steak that was literally boiled cauliflowers put together to resemble the shape of a steak. I myself had a main course of halibut that didn’t live up to the price tag of my meal. Unforgettable experience because it left such a foul taste in our mouths that even scrapping my tongue the last few nights hasn’t removed the taste of being fleeced. Service standard of a budget hotel. I was processed for check-in in quick fashion and that was the end of the staff’s interaction with me. I actually had to nudge him to do his job by asking for an orientation on the lay of land (where’s the gym, where’s the breakfast place, what are the points of interests etc). At check-out, we weren’t offered a complimentary parking coupon (despite packing so much barang that it would be obvious to most that I drove) and had to ask. To sum it up, staff were polite but didn’t live up to the ethos of the Banyan Tree service standards. The hotel feels more like a training ground for staff as opposed to a finished product.
