Short and pleasant, staff were friendly and helped us check in. Room was nice and clean and tidy. Bathroom could use some renovating, particularly the floor tiles. Otherwise great stay. And the beds were really comfy!

We stayed two nights at the Mercure Sydney Blacktown. Upon entering the hotel, the lobby was clean. We checked ourselves in using the self service kiosk. They offer breakfast for a charge, as well as 24 hour room service. We ordered the pepperoni pizza, Caesar salad, strawberry milkshake and garlic bread. I added “chargrilled chicken” to my Caesar salad, but when it came to the room, the chicken was fried and cold. I also asked for extra Caesar dressing which I did not receive. The egg on the salad also still had some hard shell left on it. The garlic bread butter was still frozen and had not been cooked or heated whatsoever. Upon checkout, the staff were happy to assist us and tried to make things right regarding the room service. They encouraged feedback and were very receptive to everything that I told them. It was roughly 40-45 minutes to get to downtown Sydney. It was an hour to 1.5 hours using public transportation. There is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel, which was convenient. There is a 24 hour McDonald’s right beside the hotel as well. The rooms were not the quietest, as we could hear the neighboring rooms television.

Check in was fine. The bathroom floor was disgusting with hair all over the place. There where three lights that didn't work one over the lounge and both lights over the beds. There where not any bed side lights to use so no reading in bed. There wasn't any tea towels in the kitchen, no detergent to do washing up, the fridge was dirty, as was the microwave. We had three lights that didn't work one above the lounge and both lights above the beds didn't work and there wasn't any bed side lights. We didn't get a goodnight sleep at all the noise from the McDonald's restaurant and carpark was very loud, people doing burnouts and revving there engine's loudly. Then we had the earlier morning pick up of the rubbish right outside our room. The view was the rubbish bins and washing trolleys and a very unacceptable view of rubbish and McDonald's and carpark. The second night the sports club next door had a band playing which we could hear and then the customers as they left for the night, very noisy and patrons pissing in the garden or throwing up. We where not happy. Breakfast was a waste of time there was a large group of Asians who took over and pushed in taking what they wanted, there was one guy standing next to the toaster and kept putting all and any bread that was there with his hands so only there group got most of the toast.yuck He then stood there eating a piece of toast with nothing on it and talking with his mouth open. Yuccck!!! I did complain about the above issue but I got a sorry but she couldn't do anything about it. I did ask if we could be moved to another room but was told no. The only thing that was offered was a free drink. Whoo!!!!! I would have loved money back or a refund to my all accor account. It was the worst place we have ever stayed.
