Had a comfortable stay. Hotel is clearly a bit older. There were obvious signs. However it was clean, well kept, comfortable.. and most importantly for this trip it was affordable. This was a whirlwind overnight trip for the football. Suited my needs perfectly

2nd stay here. 9 nights this visit. Cons: It was noisy at times. Doors slamming and noise from the floor above. The sleeping end of the bed was right next to the elevator shaft too so I could hear them going up and down. Pros: Clean, comfortable, convenient location, staff friendly. Restaurant meals average but plenty of other options nearby.

The house keeping people did not clean the room for three days to the point when I called the reception to report, the room got cleaned. There was this noise when any nearby rooms used water and this was very disturbing at nights when it is quieter outside. The buffet breakfast very very basic. With Another $10 more per night, you get much better facilities in Novotel where I stayed many times in the past. Just wanted to try a new place and very disappointed with Mercure.

I felt as if I was in a backpackers hostel. Paid $236 for Standard king room 1 extra large double bed, which was actually 2 singles pushed together! The lounge looked to unsafe to even sit on & when they say they provide bathroom toiletries its just hand wash, shampoo & conditioner. There was no staff to greet me or anyone else in the lobby until 1 friendly person eventually came to help check people in through the machine. No wonder they only ask $1 for bond. I also emailed the management team that night to provide feedback & a month later no response! Very disappointing, won't be back & won't recommend staying.
