Nimbo Fork Lodge is located approximately a two-hour drive from Canberra, a four-hour drive from Sydney or a 5.5-hour drive from Melbourne. Alternatively, fly into Wagga Wagga from Sydney or Melbourne, just an hour’s drive from the lodge.
Flights to Canberra depart regularly from major gateways including Singapore (approx flight time of 10 hours, one stopover required), Hong Kong (approx flight time of 15 hours, one stopover required), Dubai (approx flight time of 16 hours, at least one stopover required) and Bangkok (approx flight time 11 hours, one stopover required).
Transfers are not included in your package. Please plan accordingly.

The perfect destination to get away from it all, the adults-only Nimbo Fork enjoys a scenic location in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains on the fork of the Tumut River and Nimbo Creek, where lush greenery and the sound of trickling water envelops those who visit in a peaceful cocoon. A collection of beautiful suites within the main lodge and individual cottages overlooking the river are paired with indulgent fine dining and an impressive wine list, offering a sense of relaxation you’ll never want to leave.
Your Accommodation – Beautiful countryside suites and cottages
This cosy countryside accommodation offers a home-away-from-home, with unique features such as wooden floorboards and vaulted ceilings and views over either the river or picturesque courtyard. Located in the main lodge, the gorgeous suites (20 sqm) are full of character with wooden flooring and soft, cosy furnishings. Rooms feature a queen-sized bed, an en suite bathroom with heated towel rails, air conditioning, a mini-bar and coffee making facilities, so you can enjoy lazy mornings at your own pace.
VIP Upgrade: Upgrade to stay in a spacious individual cottage (32 sqm) with views over the river and a large rear terrace where you can relax, read and soak up the sounds of nature around you.
The Food – Seasonal dishes crafted using fresh local produce
Wining and dining truly has a sense of occasion at Nimbo Fork, where the talented in-house Head Chef crafts exquisite dishes informed by some of Australia’s finest ingredients and fresh seasonal produce from the neighbouring Riverina district. Of course, fine dining goes hand-in-hand with a good bottle: cuisine is complemented by an extensive wine list curated by industry professionals, featuring premium local drops from the likes of Nick Spencer Wines, Freeman Wines, Nick O’Leary and Calabria Family Wines.
The indulgence begins with your complimentary soft drink or a glass of wine, either a Pinot Grigio by Tar & Roses or a Pinot Noir by The Sticks, and cheeseboard. Enjoy at your leisure beside the fire, in the comfort of your room or perhaps even out in the countryside on a warm day, before using your two included AU$25 credits towards delicious meals you won’t forget at the lodge’s fine dining restaurant (vouchers cannot be redeemed on the same day).
Each morning you will also be treated to a sumptuous, country-stile continental breakfast with toasts, fresh fruit, muesli and other delicacies.
