Stayed for work and was very impressed by how well it caters to both business travellers and families. From check-in, my Accor ALL Diamond status was warmly acknowledged with a lovely welcome gift and breakfast inclusion. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location couldn’t be better – just a short stroll to the Esplanade, dining options, and the lagoon. The pool area with its swim-up bar is a real highlight, giving a resort feel right in the centre of Cairns. The secure undercover parking with direct lift access to rooms made coming and going easy and safe. Overall, an excellent stay that exceeded expectations. I’ll definitely return to Novotel Cairns next time I’m in town.

The room was comfortable and clean. I really liked the pool. It was very busy, so a few of staff were a bit curt a couple times. I really appreciate the large range of options for food at the restaurant and everything we had was delicious. Melanie, who manned the breakfast area really stood out. She was so friendly, bright and happy.

Overall, very good. Good hotel, central Cairns location, great breakfast options and the staff were very good. There were some issues that impact the score. One day our room wasn't cleaned, despite requesting it. A broken lift on arrival meant long delays getting to and from the room. Finally, the swim up bar closes FAR FAR too early. 7.30pm on a Saturday!? We had just returned from a long day out and we're looking forward to two drinks in the swim up bar. Not a deal breaker but worth mentioning. Overall, still a good stay, thank you.

Our stay was ok. Nothing great, nothing horrible. We had a standard basic room (probably the cheapest there), but there are plenty of other hotels/motels we've stayed at with cheaper, but better actual rooms. They were relatively clean, but when we dropped something that rolled under the bed, we pulled it out and it was definitely not clean under there, nor was the bathroom super clean. There were also ants everywhere in the room. The pool was nice, and it was great that there were a few floaties for people to use and have fun with. The fries were delicious, with the perfect crunch! Our other meals were ok. Again, nothing bad, but nothing fancy either. Our steaks on Steak Night were overcooked, but ok. It would have been great to have a non-alcoholic wine option. I think it's just a QLD thing, as I could not find a single non-alcoholic wine anywhere during our entire trip, but it was disappointing never the less.
