The hotel is located approximately a 15-minute drive from Canberra Airport (CBR). Airport transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.

  • Cancellations outside of the 7-Day Change of Mind period will not be provided, except as required by Australian Consumer Law, your local law or as otherwise provided for in the Fine Print.

Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for credit up until 45 days prior to the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Excludes service fee, if applicable.

Please note this does not apply to flights booked with us. Flight fulfilment is provided by the airline(s) selected at the time of finalising the booking. For your air travel, you are bound by the terms and conditions and fare rules of the selected airline(s).

Date Changes: If you need to amend your booking, you can self-service ONE date change in your ‘My Escapes’ account up until 45 days before your original check-in date.   • Daily breakfast is served at First Edition restaurant from 6.30am to 9.30am (Monday to Friday), and 6.30am to 10.30am (Saturday, Sunday and public holidays).
  • Welcome drink is served at First Edition bar from 4pm and includes either a house spirit, wine, beer or non-alcoholic drink.
  • The included dining credit (select packages only) must be used during your stay. Any unused credit will be forfeited and is not transferable or redeemable for cash. It can be used at First Edition restaurant and bar from 5.30pm.

Room was good, comfy bed and central location. Food in the restaurant was good but service was ordinary. We got asked if we wanted dessert before we even received our mains. We wanted a coffee in the afternoon and went for a walk but there was nothing open on a Saturday afternoon.

One of the best location. Next to the bus stop that has bus to Sydney. Close to everything, just walk around the hotel. The tram and taxi rank right in front of the hotel as well. You can exchange room cleaning for drink vouchers (standard alcohol basic drinks / wine or coffee). Rooms are dated but very functional. I don’t mind. No washing machine, you need to hop tram at the front go 2 stops away for self-washing laundry. Most room has no microwave only kettle and pod coffee machine. Executive room has microwave and sink with some utensils. Restaurant on the first floor make decent food. A bit on the expensive side if you don’t have Accor member. However, the seating and view are spectacular. Personal note: I’m very disappointed that they moved away from providing wine for long term customer. Please bring it back!!!! It makes staying bearable for long trip.

I'd say the ratings you see on the property speak for themselves. The location is great. The property and interiors are dated. The room cleaning service was average. The parking was full and we never got parking. Also a bit difficult to park in front of the hotel to check in. I am told before 3pm is the sweet spot to get the internal parking. But that said everyone knows all this about this property from the earlier reviews You still select it for the location and budget. The breakfast buffet was decent. There's a parking 6 min walk alway from the hotel. So I'd say it's not a bad option for the location. If your very particular about the room decor and parking don't go for it. If you want a place that checks most boxes and is a decent experience go ahead. I feel the people are making an effort and I wouldn't want to bash the place when it gets a lot of things right .

We booked 2 rooms for our family. We were told they would be adjoining. When we got there we were told that they were a few rooms apart. We got upgraded rooms however it was useless as we were not able to all stay together. We ended up just booking one room with a sofa and put a cot in there. We were given free parking however parking was only subject to availability. Phone was broken in our room so we were not able to get room service. There were no rubbish bins in the room (only recycling bins). There was also no toilet brush. There was no bedding for the sofa nor were there enough pillows or towels. There were also no towels in the swimming pool. The rooms were very dated. Buffet was amazing. We loved it! The pool was also lots of fun with the kids. Sauna was out of order though. I was really looking forward to that! Parking was a bit of a nightmare. We were lucky that we got a spot under the Novotel but we heard others complaining. We got to breakfast quite early but there were about 50 people lined up waiting when we left!
