Novotel Lombok Resort & Villas

We stayed in one of the private villas with family and had an amazing time. The location is beautiful, peaceful, and exactly what we were hoping for. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming (though honestly, that seems to be true of everyone in Lombok!). Overall, a perfect stay, already looking forward to coming back.

The staff was amazing. We stayed with our daughter (7 months old) for 6 nights. And almost everybody new her name straight from the second day. Not because of professionalism but by heart. This made our stay incredibly beautiful. We really enjoyed the breakfast. Wide variety. The villa with the pool was very nice and we enjoyed the first class service. What needs to be mentioned is that the hotel is not the youngest anymore. As well the humidity is recognizable in the room. But everything is well maintained. We would love to come back.

A Dream for Parents Who Need Rest & Their Toddlers: Novotel Lombok is a dream for parents with toddlers - there’s sand everywhere in the resort design, which is both stunning visually but also makes it easy to entertain your kids and catch a break. Just bring your kids sand toys and they can play everywhere - in front of your room (ground floor rooms / villas), at the breakfast restaurant (you get to eat in peace and they can play once they are done!), or just let them play under the umbrellas at the beach while you lounge. There is also a kids club, which has both an outdoor playground on the beach as well as an indoor playroom when it’s too hot outside. And plenty of swimming options including a kids pool with fountain. The resort itself has traditional sasak design and everything about it is beautiful. Service is top notch! And the room service is delicious, reliable and affordable. Honestly we didn’t really need to leave this resort at all. Even the most basic room was very big and very comfortable, including a daybed. Most of the staff are local from Lombok and culturally they are really nice and kind towards children. There are hills nearby the beach that you and you can climb with your family - nice views and doable for kids. Interesting walk there too, with a suspension bridge (can’t vouch for the safety of this but a cool experience) and the Puteri Mandalika statue. Our driver told us there main festival on Lombok revolves around her every February. The only downside is that the waters are too steep for kids and a little scary at high tide. But much more comfortable and safe at 3pm onwards when it starts to go down and by sunset you can get your kids to walk around and explore the sands on foot at low tide. We had an amazing stay here and would love to come again.

I was surprised by how small it was. While it was nice that there weren't many people, there wasn't much to enjoy within the resort. The biggest reason I can't recommend it is because the noise from the car and motorcycle racetrack can be heard from 6 a.m., right next door. While it's understandable during the day, the noise early in the morning is unbearable. If the hotel is willing, they should cooperate with the racetrack. The ocean in front of the resort was spectacular.
