Had a 2 nights stay while visiting Nara, and we booked Novotel Nara. Hotel is well located with shuttle bus to the JR Nara station provided. I loved everything about this hotel. I booked the Standard Double Room but got upgraded. The bed was so comfy, room was spotlessly clean and well designed. Breakfast was very good with Nara specialties, There is a coin laundry as well as public baths and other facilities for guests to use. I will happily stay at this hotel again.

The accommodations provided a truly exceptional experience overall. The hospitality extended to all guests was beyond what we could have hoped for. From our room, the scenic view of the lake was simply breathtaking. We also appreciated the easy access to parking, public transportation, and convenient vending machines. These thoughtful amenities made our stay even more enjoyable.and best part for accorplus gold members early check in late checkout, and good upgrade obviously.

A Surprisingly Outstanding Stay at Novotel Nara – Exceeding Four-Star Expectations Novotel Nara, newly opened in 2024, delivered an experience that far exceeded my expectations for a four-star hotel. Everything in the hotel feels brand new, with a design that reflects the chic and forward-thinking style of its French roots. The aesthetic is modern, elegant, and filled with thoughtful design touches. The hotel shares its location with the luxurious JW Marriott Nara, and it’s about a 10-minute walk from the Kintetsu Shin-Omiya Station. While the walk includes a stretch of gravel path that can be slightly inconvenient if you’re wheeling luggage, the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to both JR Nara Station and Kintetsu Yamato-Saidaiji Station, which greatly improves the overall travel experience if you’re able to use it. One of the highlights of my stay was visiting during cherry blossom season. Right next to the hotel is a picturesque riverside lined with sakura trees. The area is not overly crowded, making it easy to take stunning photos and enjoy the serene beauty of the blossoms. This unexpected discovery was one of the most delightful surprises of the trip. In terms of facilities, the hotel rooms are well laid out and spacious enough, with a minimalist modern design and a comfortable bathtub. The room standard is above what you’d typically expect from a Novotel. On top of that, the hotel offers perks such as an executive lounge (where members can enjoy complimentary cocktails during happy hour, even if food options are limited), a pleasant small-scale public bath, massage chairs, a kids’ playroom, and more. Soaking in the Japanese-style bath after a long day of sightseeing was especially rejuvenating and helped melt away the day’s fatigue. Overall, Novotel Nara added a lot of joy to my trip and left me with wonderful memories. I would happily choose to stay here again on any future visit to Nara.

Spent 3 nights at Novotel Nara. The location is not that close to the train station, you need a bus to get to the hotel. The room was spacious and has good layout. The service matches with the Japanese standard, which is impressive. Breakfast was good but finish a bit too early. Executive lounge was very good with all day refreshments, afternoon tea and evening cocktails. The facilities were excellent, public bath, relaxing area, gym, vending machine and coin laundry machine is very practical. There is Mi Nara shopping mall nearby which offers free shuttle to JR and Kintetsu station. Might go back and stay there, the only thing is the location to the train station.
