Located right near the train station, Wynyard, Novotel was a 3 minute walk from the train station! Which is great when you can hop off the plane onto the train and be at your hotel in 25 minutes! Easy check in with all automated systems and even let us check in early on a 33 degree day! Room was modern, lovely views and a very comfy bed! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated being able to leave our bags after check out as we had a later flight!

We have stayed here once before, thoroughly satisfied with the hotel fitout, room, and buffet breakfast in the morning. Staying here again, we upgraded our room to have a balcony, which was a wonderful addition to our stay. The rooms are modern, clean, with comfortable bed & pillows; breakfast was delicious; service is friendly and professional; and the location was perfect for our weekend away. Highly recommended.

Beautiful room with great views of the city and close to motorways and port for travel. One not so great thing is that the reception and also the cleaners were unaware that we had paid for the late check out option,at one point i was in the bathroom, and heard someone enter the room briefly. Was 3 times in total , also said on my email that i could check out at 5pm and they were trying to say we had to be out at 3.30 Beautiful stay otherwise :)

Staff and people very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the room was not available post check in time and was almost 3pm once ready. When trying to online check in the pos machine wouldn't work. That sorted and arrive in room and it's not the room booked for 4 people and only can accommodate 2. That sorted and new room arranged. Batteries for swipe card flat, can't get in to the room. Buffet breakfast ok at best and a.much better option to go to local cafe.
