Orpheus Island is accessible via helicopter, a 30-minute flight from Townsville or a 1.5-hour journey from Cairns over the picturesque coral-studded sea.

Important: Orpheus Island is accessible only via helicopter and transfers are not included in this package. Return transfers start from A$690 per adult from Townsville and will be weight dependent. If you arrive with a structured suitcase, there are duffle bags on-site for you to re-pack your luggage into. Excess luggage can be safely stored whilst you are on Orpheus.

No Worries… If your booking is with a property located in Australia or New Zealand you can make unlimited changes to the date of your booking, as long as it’s at least 21 days before your original check-in date. If the property is located in any other country you may make unlimited date changes up to 1 day before check-in. This is provided you choose dates that are of an equal value and are available. North Beachfront Room – Packages valid for two adults

Maximum Room Capacity: The maximum room capacity is two people.

Baby Policy: One baby (aged two years and under) may stay free of charge and will count towards the room capacity. A cot can be provided by the hotel free of charge.

North Beachfront Suite or South Suite – Packages valid for two adults

Maximum Room Capacity: The maximum room capacity is three people.

Extra Guest Policy: One additional guest (aged 17 years and over) may stay for a surcharge of A$550 per night, sleeping on a rollaway bed with accommodation, meals and drinks only (alcoholic drinks served only to guests aged 18+). Payable directly to the resort.

Child Policy: One child (aged 16 years and under) may stay for a surcharge of A$275 per night, sleeping on a rollaway bed with accommodation, meals and soft drinks only. Payable directly to the resort.

Baby Policy: One baby (aged two years and under) may stay free of charge and will count towards the room capacity. A cot can be provided by the hotel free of charge.

Connecting rooms are available: a North Beachfront Room can connect to a North Beachfront Suite. Strictly subject to availability.

Arriving by helicopter: Easily accessible from Townsville Airport, enjoy a 30-minute helicopter transfer over the picturesque coral-studded sea to Orpheus. The Nautilus Aviation check-in desk is situated at Townsville Airport, corner Halifax St and Stinson Avenue, Garbutt QLD. The check-in desk is located next to the airport baggage carousel in the Arrivals area. Guests are to meet at the check-in desk no later than 45 minutes prior to your scheduled helicopter departure time.

ONE DAILY SCHEDULED CHARTER EX TOWNSVILLE

• Townsville to Orpheus: departing at 2pm, arriving at 2.30pm.
• Orpheus to Townsville: departing at 2.30pm, arriving at 3pm.

A$345 one way, per person.

Passengers are restricted to one small bag, to a maximum of 15kg in total (non-rigid duffle or cabin bags are preferred as they are easier to load in the helicopter boot due to space limitations). Any excess luggage can be safely stowed at the Nautilus Aviation hangar.

If the daily scheduled charter is fully booked on your preferred dates of travel, or if the scheduled timings do not coincide with your itinerary, a private helicopter charter may be arranged at an additional cost (subject to availability).
