The hotel was amazing! The atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff and waiters are lovely and always ready to help at any time. They are available on WhatsApp and assisted us with everything we needed. I had a meeting, and they ensured I had a quiet place with strong Wi-Fi. The food was delicious. The lagoon is perfect, and the beach feels like my private beach. There’s also the option to use a SUP (of the hotel) which is just so much fun!

It is such an awesome hotel. The cabins are very luxurious and so nice. Each comes with a big bed and an outdoor shower. The deck at the lagoon is perfect for relaxing and the restaurant offers the best food we had so far! We were really sad ro leave! The staff was very helpful.

Pros: - hospitality is out of this world; we were really made to feel at home. My husband got sick and the management offered to make him some vegetable soup and rice for dinner, something that did not appear on the normal menu. This is just a small example, but everything you could possibly need will be tended to, and rest assured the staff will go above and beyond to provide. - Delicious and unique food. - Most gorgeous view of the clearest blue water lagoon, with two separate spots for swimming. Water activities were offered as well, and paddle boards to be taken out on your own. - Unfortunately we only had the opportunity to do yoga, but Angela was wonderful and adapted herself and her practice to fit the guests and their past experience. Cons: - Outlets don’t really work so well, so plan on conserving telephone power or brining a power bank. - Lots of mosquitos, but that is to be expected when in nature. - Slightly confusing to get around, and one of the wooden walkways is built with uneven prices of wood which adds to the charm but also adds to the risk of getting your ankle stuck in wood between each step. Tips: bring long sleeved apparel for swimming, as the use of sunscreen is prohibited due to the water’s sensitivity, but the sun is very strong. Overall, our stay at ‘Our Habitas’ was absolutely nothing short of extraordinary, and we look forward to visiting again soon. Highly recommend to those interested in disconnecting from the outside world and connecting with themselves and with nature.

We stayed at Habitas Bacalar right after our visit to Habitas Tulum, and it was a lovely surprise in terms of location — this eco-lodge is beautifully set right on the edge of the lagoon. The welcome was warm and friendly, and we were even greeted by a baby coati at reception, which was a cute touch. Our tent was spacious and nicely decorated, though we were a bit disappointed with its location. We had booked a "Lagoon Breeze" tent, but ended up more in the jungle than by the water. The food was refined and delicious, but quite pricey. Unfortunately, it was very windy during our stay, and there were no umbrellas or shaded areas to protect from the sun. Since sunscreen isn’t allowed (to preserve the lagoon ecosystem), you can imagine the state of our skin after a few days. It would be great if they could find alternative solutions for sun protection. As for activities, there wasn’t much offered — aside from yoga, paddleboarding (difficult with the wind), and a boat tour on the lagoon. Overall, it’s a beautiful and very Instagrammable place, but with limited things to do. Definitely a "boho-chic" vibe, and quite expensive for a glamping experience.
