OUTRIGGER Reef Waikiki Beach Resort

This resort is in an unbeatable location—walking distance to all the great restaurants, shops, and the vibrant energy of Waikiki. We especially loved the beach right at the resort. It does get busy at sunset and is especially packed on fireworks nights, but the atmosphere is amazing. Having Monkeypod restaurant on-site was a huge bonus—it was outstanding. The staff throughout the resort were warm, friendly, and always ready to help. The excursion office on the ground floor was a great resource for planning trips and arranging transportation. Parking is valet-only and pricey, so it’s worth considering how often you’ll use a car. We skipped the rental car and didn’t miss it at all. The pool area was fantastic, and in the evenings, we enjoyed live music drifting in from nearby restaurants, which added to the laid-back, tropical vibe. Overall, this is a wonderful spot for families to enjoy Honolulu and Waikiki—great amenities, perfect location, and a truly relaxing experience.

The staff from the valet, desk, and housekeeping were outstanding. Special thanks to housekeeper Marilyn, she was so friendly and had great hospitality. Housekeepers are the backbone of the hotel industry and she was amazing. The hotel was great. Great music entertainment, lobby, and location. Would choose this Outrigger resort over the Kalākaua location and we stayed at both.

Amazing experience here. Stayed here for 6 nights in late July / early August. Booked through Costco travel so we got breakfast vouchers included. Room was great. Pool was really fun (a big deep section around 8 ft deep), and a good amount of pool chairs and unbrellas. Breakfast at MonkeyPod was really good quality. Ice machine on our floor had a water bottle filler as well which was a small thing but very convenient. Only had a tiny section of it's own beach but was right next to a public one. Good location.

Stayed in the hotel for 8 nights - we were aslo able to get late check out at 5pm which was greatly appreciated (at additional cost) as it allowed us to enjoy the ocean for another day since our flight was not until 9pm. We had a king suite which was very spacious, nicely decorated and clean. There was a microwave and a mini fridge. Upon check in we received a calendar with times and dates for events in the hotel such as bracelet making, vow Renewals ceremony etc. The hotel team from front desk, housekeeping, breakfast & dinner team at the club lounge and valet were amazing! The breakfast was delicious every morning, it had great a great selection each morning with a few changes each day. The team was super welcoming and lovely. We thourly enjoyed the appetizers daily in the lounge which also changed daily, it was a great selection. The hotel location is also a huge bonus, with a great beach outside the hotel, which we were able to spot turtles & seals on and many bars/restaurants and shops nearby which made it great for exploring. The hotel also has live music by the pool daily i think. I really appreciate the hotels mission for sustainability- we were provided with two water flasks in our room - there was a water fountain in the main level - definitely decreases plastic use! We also received a beach bag which was very useful. I highly recommend it! Thank you for another amazing stay!
