Don’t listen to the bad reviews! I’ll be honest, I was a bit nervous before booking because of some of the reviews I read. But once I got there, all those worries disappeared. Is it perfect? Nah. Is it like some fancy 5-star luxury resort you see in the movies? Also nah. But here’s the deal: • Bed was clean and comfy. • Room was tidy and looked after. • Staff were super friendly and happy to help. • Pool and gym? Yep — just in the Mercure next door and really easy to get to. • Buffet brekkie? HELL YES. Tasty, fresh, and heaps of options. Honestly, I reckon most of the negative reviews are from people who stay in 5-star hotels all the time or live in airport lounges. If you’re just a normal Aussie looking for somewhere clean, comfy and easy to enjoy, this place is spot on. It’s also close to two train stations (Roma Street and Central) and right across from the King George Square bus station, so getting around is a breeze.

I recently stayed at Pullman Brisbane King George Square during a business trip, and it exceeded expectations. The location is ideal—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to get around for meetings and catch up with colleagues. The rooms were spacious, quiet, and well-equipped, which made it easy to unwind after a long day. The staff were genuinely welcoming and attentive, and the rooftop bar was a great spot to relax with a view. As someone who travels often for work, I really appreciated the seamless experience. Highly recommend for both business and leisure stays.

Stayed here using my free ALL Accor member night. The hotel is in a very central spot I'm the city, which is great for meetings in the CBD or to explore. Visitors should be aware that when arriving by car it's all one way streets ao don't miss your turn! The driveway allows for a short stop to check in. The lobby is bright and light and reception is bang in the middle which I think is very smart so people can spread out. I arrived late in the evening but staff were attentive and helpful. The car park is under the building and ia at an extra $50. It's bookable via a QR code at reception which is very easy, however I can understand if some might find this process inconvenient and rather have it charged to their bill. The room was spacious and had a large bathroom with a shower/bath set up and 2 sinks. Some chocolates were waiting for me with a friendly welcoming note. I was on the Exec Floor which is high up so couldn't hear any street noise or the construction site across which waa great. The room was generally clean, except for the random sock that dropped out of the curtains when I closed them. Bed was comfortable and (followers know that I had a bit of bad luck with noisy air cons recently) I am pleased to say the air con was quiet! The TV has the Chromecast set up so that one can watch their own device. I did not use any of the amenities as it was just a one night stay. Would recommend this hotel and would choose again.

Very disappointing stay — not 5-star quality The Pullman Brisbane King George Square is in desperate need of renovation. The carpet in our room was threadbare, the bathroom dated with a shower over bath and no exhaust fan, and the whole room looked worn and tired. The lifts are noisy and slow, and street noise on level 7 was constant — very little soundproofing. The gym (shared with the Mercure next door) had no air-conditioning, old equipment, and the connecting passage smelled strongly of mould. Calls to reception and concierge were never answered. Nothing in the minibar, and overall facilities did not match the advertised standard. The only positives are the good location and a comfortable bed, though the pillows were flat. For the price, there are far better hotels nearby. Don’t be fooled by the lobby, this hotel is disappointing and not close to 5-star quality.
