Pullman Oceanview Sanya Bay Resort & Spa

As an Accor Diamond member, my overall experience at the Pullman Oceanview Sanya was a bit of a struggle. The day before check-in, I received a call from the hotel informing them I'd arrive at noon. They suggested I come back at 2:00 PM, saying they didn't have any rooms available that early. I understood and accepted the situation, but the next day, I didn't receive my room card until nearly 5:00 PM. After waiting for nearly three hours, the front desk clearly lacked responsiveness. I asked if I could wait in the executive lounge while I waited, but was flatly denied. It was a truly terrible experience. I asked the front desk if I could get an Accor discount at the restaurant, but received no clear answer. I was told I needed to ask the restaurant myself. Their service awareness and initiative were seriously lacking. Even more outrageous, after getting my room card and heading to my room, I asked a staff member in the lobby bar where to get the elevator. They told me they didn't know and told me to ask the doorman. It's unbelievable that a hotel employee wouldn't even know where the elevator is. However, there were some positives. The executive lounge on the top floor was well-stocked, and the service was warm, attentive, and professional. The service was truly impressive, and it certainly saved my impression. I was also upgraded to an executive suite, and I was very satisfied with the room itself. In summary, while the hardware is up to standard, the staff training, especially the front desk and front-line staff, needs significant improvement in terms of service awareness. I gave it a high score of 9 this time entirely due to the warmth and professionalism of the lounge staff. I hope other aspects can be improved on my next visit.

One of the best hotels in Sanya. If you are looking for luxury and very comfortable hotel, you are on the right way! 4 swimming pools, sky-bar, spa and gym, their own ocean Beach! My recommendations!

Having a lot of travel experience behind me, I have to write that the hotel does not live up to its category: - the rooms are outdated - the breakfasts are monotonous, without much choice and heavily focused on Chinese cuisine - there are only a few cafes nearby and those are of the "chew/vomit" level, forgive me, with dirty tables, a menu in Chinese that sticks to your hands + a broken translation into Russian, which always turned out to be a lottery not in our favor - it takes about 20 minutes by taxi to the Dadonghai resort with an incomparably more developed infrastructure - a very expensive dinner Nevertheless, my rating is quite high, thanks to the green area, clean beach and comparison with other hotels

Built in 2011 but very well maintained in true Accor fashion. Comfortable rooms with baths that open to the sea. Decent breakfast buffet spread with at least one new "special of the day". Great sunset views from the 17th floor bar. Complimentary hotel shuttle to city Centre. Our stay was made extra special by the graciousness and attentiveness of Kate from the Business Centre. The concierge staff are also all generally very nice, helpful and courteous. Beach access is via the hotel's own underpass.
