The Resort – The freedom of self-contained apartments meets luxe resort living

Welcome to The Ruby Apartments, a brand-new take on holiday apartments. Newly opened on the Gold Coast, this luxe resort is a paradise for both couples and families, offering self-contained units with picturesque Pacific Ocean and hinterland views and all the facilities of a modern hotel complex.

Included in your escape is AUD$100 resort credit (seven-night stays receive AUD$150 credit), which can be used towards The Ruby’s incredible facilities, including all food and beverage outlets and in-house activities.

Adults can start their day with a guided morning stretch under the sun, enjoy energetic classes such as an Aquadynamics water workout and Zumba, and spend their evenings trying their hand at trivia, enjoying live music or taking part in fun cocktail-making classes or cheese and wine tastings.

Younger guests are catered to with access to the Kids’ Club at Paradise Resort next door (The Ruby’s Kids’ Club is due to open early 2019), offering morning, afternoon and evening sessions (extra charges apply). Families will also enjoy access to the Paradise Resort’s water park, with fun features including submarines and slides. The Ruby also offers cupcake making and magic lessons – and no visit would be complete without meeting the resort’s resident teddy bear, William.

Other not-to-be-missed facilities included a 21-metre salt-water pool with luxurious underwater loungers and a 24-hour fitness centre with state-of-the-art gym, sauna and steam room.

The Apartment – Modern, self-contained units with access to a 24/7 concierge service

Truly experience the best of both worlds with a stay in a self-contained one-bedroom apartment, which still offers the services of a luxury hotel. Arrive to convenient self-check-in desks, with Ruby Ambassadors always nearby to assist.

The efficient service extends to your One-Bedroom Apartment, where you’ll find an in-room tablet with access to a 24-hour digital concierge service, ready to go above and beyond for any questions or requests you may have.

Your apartment comes equipped with a queen bed, featuring quality linens and a cosy faux fur blanket, a spacious balcony with outdoor seating, kitchen with dishwasher and full-size fridge, laundry facilities and free local calls from your in-room phone plus complimentary Wi-Fi to keep you connected.

For those quiet nights in, you’ll also enjoy a Samsung Smart TV in both the lounge and the master bedroom.

Family Upgrade: Travelling with kids? Upgrade to a spacious Two-Bedroom Apartment, which sleeps up to four guests across either two queen beds or one queen and two singles. You’ll also benefit from two bathrooms, including one ensuite in the master bedroom, all boasting signature bath and body products.

Family Upgrades will also receive one complimentary Kids’ Club session per child (aged three – 12), with morning, afternoon and evening sessions available.

Offering a unique “build-your-own” approach, you’ll be free to select from a range of cereals, toast, pastries, fruit, yoghurts and juices. For an extra charge you can upgrade your breakfast to included cooked options, including bacon, eggs, sausages and baked beans.

If you choose to spend your included resort credit on food and beverages, you won’t be disappointed. Enjoy handcrafted cocktails and ice-cold beers at the Lounge Bar; coffees, smoothies and light meals at Terrace Café; or return to Stones Bar & Grill for a hearty dinner of fresh fish, tender meats or veggie options, with a dedicated kids’ menu offering tempting treats such as chicken nuggets, pizza and a Lindt chocolate fondue with seasonal fruits and marshmallows.
