We paid nearly £300 for a room with no view - privacy glass sticker on the only window. Every aspect of service required a follow up request to check as it all took incredibly long - from the tea and cake at the cafe bar to dinner at the restaurant. Staff did not seem well trained to handle queries. Reception set their phone to answerphone for close to 2 hours. The only way we managed to get through to them was by calling the external landline. They then proceeded to give multiple excuses for this instead of just admitting that this had been accidental/deliberate. Just a far too stressful experience for a quick rest and recharge away. I don't recommend.

Left a fire stick in TV and remote on side table after checkout, didn’t notice till I drove 2 hours home and unpacked then remembered not taking it out back of TV. Phoned reception at 1pm so 2 hours after checking out and 2 hours before next check in. Receptionist said they’d go check straight away and phone me back which they never did. Phone again couple days later and was someone new and they said same thing and still nothing. Phone a week later and finally a manager chased it up. They said the receptionist did go check and it wasn’t there, which is just quite literally impossible. Cleaning staff also claimed to have not seen it. So it has been stolen then hasn’t it. Manager just said they would have handed it in so I mustn’t have left it. So sad for something so inexpensive to not be returned, imagine it was something worth a lot more or sentimental. Shocking and needs looked into by proper management team. Second time staying here but after the sour taste now left in my mouth over something so stupid I won’t be back. Thief’s.
