The Whitsundays’ 74 scattered islands are best enjoyed at your leisure. From snorkelling and swimming to sunbathing and savouring fresh seafood — this is your holiday, your way. Your sailing adventure takes off from the Port of Airlie Marina. The marina is approximately a 35-minute drive from Whitsunday Coast Airport (PPP). Transfers are not included in your package; please plan accordingly.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.
Cancellation Policy: You can cancel your booking for credit within 7 days of purchasing, providing the booking it not within 14 days of check-in. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Excludes service fee, if applicable. Outside of 7 days of purchase, the package is strictly non-refundable.
Please note this does not apply to flights booked with us. Flight fulfilment is provided by the airline(s) selected at the time of finalising the booking. For your air travel, you are bound by the terms and conditions and fare rules of the selected airline(s).
Date Changes: If you need to amend your booking, you are permitted ONE date change up until 60 days before your original check-in date. Please contact our 24/7 customer service team to enquire. Subject to availability and surcharges.
Please Note:
- Dining inclusions do not include drinks (unless otherwise stated). Menus are subject to change without notice.
- A A$5000 bond will be held prior to boarding and will be release if there is no damages or breakages, payable direct to SeaDream Charters.
- Pricing is per package, not per person.
- The lounge/table in the saloon converts to a double bed to accommodate 2 people.
- Parking is available at the marina for a fee of A$25 per day.
- An environmental fee of A$37 per person, per charter applies, payable direct to SeaDream Charters.
- When departing Port of Airlie Marina, a member of SeaDream Charters will take the yacht out for you. On return, a member will refuel the yacht and park it back in its berth.
- Prior to departing, SeaDream Charters will ensure you and at least one other member of your crew are competent and comfortable to sail.
- SeaDream Charters will be in contact with you twice daily to ensure the safety of guests, once each morning for a briefing on daily plans and once each evening to ensure you have arrived at your mooring.
- Guests will board at 4pm the night prior to disembarkation, and set sail after a compulsory maritime briefing at 8.30am for three to six hours the following day.
- If you are not staying the night before, check-in time is 8.30am.
- The yacht must be returned to the marina by 10am for checkout and refuelling.
- All packages do not include airport transfers, fuel, fees for all marinas and moorings, food or provisions.
- Vessels are equipped with cooking facilities, but food is not included in your package. Guests must bring their own food and drinks. Food provisioning is available at an additional cost, please contact SeaDream Charters for details.
- Stinger suits are available for hire for an extra A$30 per person, per charter.
- Should you need assistance on the yacht, a fast RIB will enable SeaDream Charters to assist wherever you are in the Whitsundays.
- A sail guide may be necessary for part of or the duration of the charter depending on the capability the charterer has.
- No bareboat charters in the Whitsundays are permitted to visit the resort at the exclusive Hayman Island.
- Snorkelling and mooring at Blue Pearl Bay on Hayman Island is permitted.
- There are no-fishing zones in the Whitsundays. Guests will be provided a chart showing where these are.
- You will leave the marina with a full tank of fuel, on return you will fill up at your own expense prior to returning. A credit card is required for payment.
- While each charter finishes with disembarkation at 5pm, all vessels must return to the fuel wharf on the last day of charter for refuelling.
- Refuelling is at the charterers’ expense.
- Due to the location, charters may be disrupted due to the weather. These disruptions or cancellations are not decided upon lightly but may occur. Examples of cancellation events could be:
- Cyclone warning – you could be asked to return to the Port of Airlie Marina and even potentially leave the yacht should the port be closed.
- Gale force winds or strong winds – you may be restricted to certain anchorages or require you to return to the marina.
- SeaDream Charters will not refund charter fees due to the following events:
- Strong winds including gale warnings and wind.
- You are unable to travel to the Whitsundays due to any weather event at your home.
- You are unable to get to Port of Airlie Marina to start your charter due to any weather event.
- You make the decision not to travel for any reason.
Sail Guide Package:
- If you choose to have a sail guide, you must ensure the guide has a separate cabin, as well as provide them with food and drinks for each day of the charter.
- The Sail Guide will sleep in the smallest port bow cabin (front left).
- Up to eight people can be accommodated with a sail guide.
- Your sail guide is happy to assist with sailing, anchoring and mooring, as well as mooring locations and itinerary ideas.
- Your nominated skipper and crew are still fully responsible for the yacht as per the charter agreement. It is critical you understand the sail guide is there to provide guidance and information about the Whitsundays and to provide assistance when required.
