Compulsory Chrstimas Eve Gala Dinner: For stays on 24 December, an additional surcharge of EUR100 per adult (13+) and EUR40 per child (4–12) applies for the compulsory Christmas Eve Gala dinner. Payable directly to the hotel.

Compulsory New Year’s Gala Dinner: For stays on 31 December, an additional surcharge of EUR160 per adult (13+) and EUR70 per child (4–12) applies for the compulsory New Year’s Gala dinner. Payable directly to the hotel.

Blackout Dates & Surcharges: A non-refundable surcharge per room, per night may apply, payable at the time of booking. Dates and prices are identified in the Booking Calendar. Blackout dates may apply.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.

  • Cancellations outside of the 7-Day Change of Mind period will not be provided, except as required by Australian Consumer Law, your local law or as otherwise provided for in the Fine Print.

Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for credit up until 45 days prior to the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account.   • Daily breakfast is served at Le Flamboyant restaurant from 7am to 10.30am.
  • Nightly dinner is seved at Le Flamboyant restaurant from 7pm to 10pm.
  • The two-course lunch is served at La Plage restaurant from 12pm to 3pm from the chef’s suggestion menu.
  • Guests on the upgraded all-inclusive packages receive all meals and unlimited drinks.
  • One-time cocktail is served at Le Takamaka Bar from 10am to 10.30pm.
  • The welcome gift in-room is at the discretion of the hotel.
  • 30% discount at SO Spa is available on treatments from 10am to 2pm. No minimum spend required. Available on all treatments, exlcuding rituals, packages and other ongoing promotions.
  • A complimentary kids’ club is available for children aged 3 to 11, supervised by hotel staff. Daily activities are based on the entertainment program.
  • Guests must provide a valid wedding certificate to be eligible for the bottle of sparkling wine and special petal turndown service.

Had the most memorable 2 nights at this stunning 5- star boutique beach resort in the wild south coast of Mauritius- gorgeous views, proximity to the sea, lush gardens, well manicured lawns, it's a sprawling property, yet felt so intimate. Spacious, well designed rooms and delectable breakfast and dinner buffet - couldnt have been better ! Special mention of Dinesh Reddy who took special care of us during our breakfasts and dinners (we booked half board) at Le Flamboyant Restaurant. Highly recommend SO/ Sofitel, Bel Ombre, Mauritius for an unforgettable experience.

We came for 2 nights and the weather was very windy and even rained on the last day but we loved the hotel and the rooms and the food. The rooms are just really comfortable and spacious and relaxing. We have had a nice welcome and service from the staff all around. The food as well was really good with different choices in the buffet. All in all a wholesome experience. Not to mention the play area for kids. Our little one had fun on the slides and the sand pit.

A very nice and well-maintained resort that is unfortunately held back by the poor service level. The staff seem to always be in a bad mode and make you feel unwelcome. Whenever I requested something, especially during breakfast, the staff reaction makes me feel that they are doing it unwillingly. The only exception is Raj, who was always smiling and offering help whenever he passes by us.

It might have been a 5 star resort when It was built but it's definitely only a 3 star property now The room I booked was a garden view sea facing suite, yes it had a garden view and yes it was sea facing however the room they gave us was 200m from the sea!, in fact it would have been difficult to get any further away and still been in the so Sofitel The very friendly consiege who took us to the room explained that as the hotel is French the TV only shows programmes in French! The showers are outside the room, which us an interesting experience when it is raining and the first morning I had to stand and wait 20 minutes for some hot water, when none arrived i had to dry get dressed and walk to reception 5 minutes away because no one was answering the phone, the maintainance man arrived with one of the huge number of managers they have and miraculously the hot water appeared immediately, (funny how turning the tap on out in the road has that effect,) however the saga goes on when the shower either took your skin off or was freezing cold, The sun beds are passable and a decent amount of them, but that might be because the place was only 6o% occupied The only redeeming thing about this resort is the bar and the food they offer We asked to be moved to another room but at only 60% full they didn't have another one they could move us to. Until I said we were leaving on day 2 so wanted a refund for day 3, then by some miracle a suite next to the sea became available because they had a cancellation, well they got another cancellation then and we left, still waiting for the refund Lots of choice of resort, so don't get your hopes up if you book this one
