We had a wonderful stay. The staff were genuinely kind and attentive, and the breakfast at the Millesime Lounge was excellent. The location in the CBD is perfect — within the free tram zone and just a short walk to great shopping areas. The city view from the room was beautiful, and everything was spotless and well maintained. I’d be delighted to stay again on my next visit to Melbourne.

What an amazing experience that the Sofitel. From arrival at the drive-in to checking in at level 1. Things were seamless and easy. We had a pleasure of being upgraded due to our status. The room was very well appointed with great amenities. I really enjoyed the slippers. Wow the kids have lots of fun in the bathrobe. The only cry I would have is that the bathroom is a little bit small. Otherwise the lounge area is plenty big and the bedroom has a generously king size bed. Clublands was amazing if you ever get the opportunity to have their afternoon tea or free dinner drinks it is well worth the time.

The Sofitel Melbourne at Collins provides a good experience, the concierge staff at the welcoming area were attentive with our luggage. Its offers a prime location; situated near the Treasury Building and Parliament, it provides easy access to the city center and is surrounded by good restaurants and cafes. We appreciated the tram stop directly outside—it makes navigating Melbourne easy, including a direct tram down to SouthWharf. As a coffee and pastry lover, the surrounding area is a delight. Having favorite spots like Market Lane and St Ali Coffee just across the road is convenient. Plus, there's Laurent nearby for their great pastries. As a Platinum member celebrating a birthday, we were upgraded to a Junior Suite and received a welcome bottle of champagne. We also enjoyed lounge access, and the breakfast selection was varied and great. The Junior Suite itself was very spacious at 77 sqm, which we loved. On the amenity side, the provided soap and shampoo from Balmain were a nice touch. However, the overall decor does feel a bit dated, and I think the hotel should consider a renovation soon. Additionally, while the room offered useful extras like a yoga mat and small barbell, they looked quite dated, and I ended up not using them. A minor drawback for me was the limited complimentary water— they only provided one bottle of water in the room. At the fitness room, they have two relaxing massage chairs and a water refill station. The only other thing to note is that the venue is popular for corporate bookings, as there were a lot of company events downstairs during our stay.

A really nice hotel in the city centre. Walking distance from shops, food, and drinks. It was expensive but the service, view, and rooms are worth the money. It was my birthday and they sent a free bottle of wine to the room which was appreciated. Valet parking is $75, being able to go in and out as many times as possible which we found helpful and convenient. The service all around the hotel was wonderful with all staff being helpful and kind. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner which a decent menu. They also have a gym which was nice. Will definitely be returning when I get the chance. Thank you to the team working you made our experience wonderful.
