Located just a 15-minute drive from the historic sugar cane city of Bundaberg, this gorgeous 160-acre property is close enough to the action for you to explore the wider Bundaberg region and the Southern Great Barrier Reef, yet is remote enough for you to truly immerse yourself in the rural beauty of Queensland. Established in 2017, Splitters Farm is a playground for native species, such as wallabies, platypus and 150 documented varieties of Australian birdlife, as well as a safe place for barnyard animals looking for a new home. During your stay, get up close and personal with the property’s furry residents, wandering through the farm on a self-guided tour and feeding friendly horses, goats, alpacas and more along the way.
Splitters Farm is located just a 15-minute drive from Bundaberg town centre or a four-hour drive from Brisbane. Spend your time getting to know the rescued animals on the farm or explore the surrounding region, home to the Bundaberg Rum Distillery, Bundaberg Botanic Gardens and Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery. The property is located a 15-minute drive from Bundaberg Airport (BDB). Airport transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

The Accommodation – Relax, unwind and befriend some lovable farm animals
Glamping comes to life during a unique stay in a deluxe two-bedroom tent at Splitters Farm. Experience a welcome retreat from reality and embrace the great outdoors with this extra-special stay amid Queensland’s rural landscape, where tropical bushland meets a working farm. Since 2017, the property has been a haven for rescued farm animals and a playground for native species, such as wallabies, platypus and over 150 documented varieties of Australian birdlife. Take a self-guided tour of the farm, feeding friendly horses, goats, alpacas and more along the way. The activities here are suitable for all ages, from go-kart hire to cinema evenings (every Saturday night) under the stars, creek swimming, damper making and barra feeding. When it’s you who needs feeding, visit the Barista Van, order a picnic hamper (charges apply, must be ordered the day prior to visit) or rustle up a feast with the onsite cooking facilities.
Throughout your stay, be sure to take time to explore the surrounding Bundaberg region. Venture to Mon Repos Conservation Park, where you will find the largest concentration of nesting sea turtles on the eastern Australian mainland or unearth the magic of Lady Musgrave Island and Lady Elliot Island. Within the bustling city centre of Bundaberg, you will also find gorgeous heritage buildings, museums and lush gardens. Delve into the world of sugar cane and rum production with a visit to the Bundaberg Rum Distillery, which dates back to 1888.

Bookings (except for Tour bookings and flights) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date.
Date Changes: If you need to amend your booking, you can self-service unlimited date changes in your ‘My Escapes’ account up until 21 days before your original check-in date. - Firewood will be delivered to your doorstep each day at approximately 4pm. Please place any requests for additional wood prior to 3pm.
