The Gates Hotel South Beach boasts a prime location along Collins Canal, just steps from the white sands of South Beach. Surrounded by the vibrant energy of Miami, it’s a short walk to the Art Deco District, Ocean Drive and the famous Lummus Park. Guests can explore the area’s trendy restaurants, bars and boutiques, while downtown Miami is only a short drive away. The hotel is located approximately a 20-minute drive from Miami International Airport (MIA). Airport transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.

  • Cancellations outside of the 7-Day Change of Mind period will not be provided, except as required by Australian Consumer Law, your local law or as otherwise provided for in the Fine Print.

Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for credit up until 21 days prior to the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Excludes service fee, if applicable.

Please note this does not apply to flights booked with us. Flight fulfilment is provided by the airline(s) selected at the time of finalising the booking. For your air travel, you are bound by the terms and conditions and fare rules of the selected airline(s).

Date Changes: If you need to amend your booking, you can self-service unlimited date changes in your ‘My Escapes’ account up until 21 days before your original check-in date. If you can’t find a suitable date, or still need further assistance, please contact our 24/7 customer service team. Subject to availability and surcharges.

Great art deco hotel. Built in the 60s management has done a great job of renovating and maximizing it's potential. One of the best south beach hotel stays I've had without being on the beach. Great pool and friendly helpful staff and concierge. Kevin one of the managers was extremely helpful with recommending restaurants to eat at and which opens to avoid. Also seemed to know the prices too so we weren’t surprised by high menu prices which is all too common on South Beach, especially Lincoln Rd.

I had a fantastic experience at The Gates Hotel. From check-in to check-out, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Everything ran so smoothly. The hotel is beautifully designed—modern, clean, and comfortable. My room was spacious with a cozy bed and everything I needed. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach and close to great restaurants and shops. The pool area was one of my favorite parts of the hotel—perfect for lounging with a drink and enjoying the Miami sun. Overall, I loved my stay and would absolutely come back. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting South Beach!

Great hotel in SoBe! First time back since they are no longer aligned with Hilton (which is a shame!) but no detrimental effect at the hotel whatsoever. Bar team super friendly. Reception staff helpful, especially Michael who was very diligent dealing with a change of room request. Great beach access and with loungers/towels available. Look forward to being back soon.

Disappointing Honeymoon Stay – Great Ambience, Poor Services We stayed here for our honeymoon and were impressed by the beautiful ambience and design. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the aesthetics. We had issues right from check-in — the room lock battery was dead and we had to wait for maintenance. Our room had a poor view (a dump truck parked outside) and the drapes didn’t offer full privacy (Deceiving pictures on Booking.com and google). When we complained about being uncomfortable they just offered extra bedsheets to cover the portion that the drapes couldn’t which was very weird to us. Secondly, room service was slow and unresponsive, often requiring multiple calls. Thirdly, our toilet was leaking, though the manager did respond professionally and changed our room. Lastly, the bathroom door doesn't fully close and leaves large gaps—if someone walks by while you're in the shower, you might as well be on display. It's an odd layout that doesn’t offer any real privacy. Overall, the experience didn’t live up to expectations for such a special occasion and the price we paid for a 4 star hotel. The 3 star hotel we stayed in Orlando was much better than this one.
