We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The service was impeccable. We were upgraded to a suite as we got married a few days before. Andrea made sure everything was special for us. Every time she saw us, she made sure to ask if everything was fine. She also gave us a complimentary breakfast. It was amazing. Everything you need or want. The suite was good size and very clean. Bathroom was great. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back again. Andrea was amazing. Couldn’t ask for more. Thank you for making our stay special and memorable for our mini honeymoon.

The stay was very good. But I was most impressed by the service that I received from Irina at the front desk. My check in went smooth. She went above and beyond to make sure my room was clean correct. Her personality was extremely positive and professional. I could tell she took great pride in her work. I give Irina 5 stars —- she was the best

The rooms were nice, clean but a little tricky with having to have to use a key card to turn the lights on. Did not like mattresses! Bathroom was large but where you needed to dry your hair was dark and you had to keep pressing the button to keep it on! Service was excellent! Staff was very helpful.

We stayed here for two nights because it was part of the Amex hotel collection. When we checked in, we mentioned that we wanted to eat at the restaurant during one of the nights. We asked if we needed reservations and the check in agent assured us that we did not and could just walk in. We went out the first night and planned to eat at the May Fair Kitchen the second night. Unfortunately, on the second night the entire restaurant was closed for a private event. Room service was also unavailable since it uses the same kitchen. To use our credit, we ate at the bar, which only serves light finger food. The portions were tiny and the prices were high. Four small snack items came to more than £80. The coconut shrimp came with four pieces, two of which were burnt, and it cost £18 on its own. The chicken lollipops were chewy and the quality overall was poor. The complementary truffle puffs were great, probably the best thing we had. When we spoke with the hotel staff about it, they explained that management had not informed them about the private event until that morning. I believe them, but it is confusing that something that major was not shared with the team sooner. If it were just one private group using part of the restaurant, that would be understandable, but when the entire restaurant and room service are closed, that is something the front desk should know well in advance. Staff did send champagne to the room as a gesture, which we appreciated, but it did not change the fact that dinner was a disappointment after being told we did not need a reservation. Overall, the room was large and the bed and linens were comfortable, but it felt strangely empty. There was no desk, just a lot of open space. Even though we were upgraded three room tiers from the standard, the room did not feel worthy of a five star hotel. It felt a bit rundown. The wood floors were creaky, there was no carpet or rug, and the furniture was very sparse. The window was small and the closet was just a wardrobe near the door. It looked like the room was part of an older building that had been converted into a hotel, so the layout felt more like a box than a suite. Unlike most hotels that have a small entryway before the bedroom, this one opened straight into the main space with no buffer from the hallway. While the door was thick, noise from people walking by carried right into the room. One of the sliding wardrobe doors was also slightly broken at the hinge. It still worked fine, but it was not what you would expect from a five star property. The bathroom had steps and a very slippery high shine floor. The toilet paper holder was hard to reach, there were not enough hooks or towel racks within reach of the shower, and the shower itself had no door so water goes everywhere. The magnified mirror arm was broken, the mini fridge was unsecured and seemed to be damaged. The robe had a hole and was missing a belt loop. Not usually nit-picky like this but this is allegedly a 5-star hotel. I don’t stay in places this “nice” often so I guess hopes were high but It all came across as sloppy and worn rather than luxurious. The elevators were also painfully slow, which somehow felt like the final touch on a stay that should have been great but never quite was.
