The resort is located approximately a 35-minute seaplane flight from Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé. The resort can only be reached by a mandatory seaplane transfer, available at an additional cost (payable directly to the resort). Update: 11th December 2024: As per the amendments to the Tourism Act issued by the Maldivian Government, applicable to all travellers arriving in the Maldives from 1 January 2025, the green tax payable by travellers upon arrival at hotels (including tourist resorts, tourist hotels, hotels, tourist guest houses, tourist vessels) has been increased from USD 6.00 to USD 12.00 per person per day.

Update 4 December 2024 4pm AEDT: Until 31 December 2024, a Green Tax of US$6 will apply per person, per night. From 1 January 2025 onwards, a Green Tax of US$12 will apply per person, per night.

• Room upgrades are strictly subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Excludes two-bedroom pool villas and The Standard Residence.
• The included dining credit (3+ nights) must be used during your stay. Any unused credit will be forfeited and cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash. The dining credit cannot be split and must be used in one sitting.
• The included spa credit (5+ nights) applies to Full Board Rate packages only and must be used during your stay. Any unused credit will be forfeited and cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash.

Seaplane Transfers:

• The Standard, Maldives arranges third-party airport transfers by seaplane for all guests arriving and departing with international flights to and from Velana International Airport in Male.
• Once you’ve booked your stay at The Standard, Maldives, email mv.reservations@standardhotels.com with the following details: Full names of all travellers as it appears on your passport, and your arrival and departure flight numbers.
• The hotel requires the above information at least 7 days prior to your arrival date in order to arrange seaplane transfers with optimal timings.
• For same-day seaplane transfers, guests from international flights should land at Male’s International Airport no later than 3pm and depart from Male no earlier than 9.30am.
• Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a representative who will assist with the check-in at the Trans Maldivian Airways counter for your seaplane.
• Baggage restrictions: 20kg per person for checked luggage and 5kg per person for hand luggage. Excess baggage will be charged at US$5 per kg.
• All transfer information is subject to change. Please contact the hotel directly to confirm transfer details before you depart for your escape.
