Beautiful entrance surrounded by greenery. A well-kept garden with illuminated walkways marked with white tiles leading to the property. The breakfast room has a breathtaking view of the sea. The rooms have a jacuzzi on the terrace. Excellent food, and everything is very quiet and relaxing. Recommended!

I honestly can’t believe anybody would say anything bad about this hotel. I travel quite a bit throughout Europe and this is one of my favorite hotels. You definitely feel like you’re living in the past when you step in. It’s kind of a magical hotel!! The furnishings are lovely and old and the floors are absolutely stunning with some sort of inlaid tile or something. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful. I would like to give a shout out to Mario the bartender —he was pleasant and funny and always asking everyone if they were doing OK. He seemed to work a lot so it was nice to have a pleasant person around checking on us. We brought my daughter and her boyfriend and they were both blown away about how nice the hotel was. It’s an extremely short walk to town and if you can’t walk that far, you probably shouldn’t be traveling through Europe. The gym is huge, which is nice for me because I like to work out. Plenty of places to get exercise and walk along the beautiful waterfront. We didn’t eat at the hotel except for breakfast, but it was very good. We got two balcony rooms and I would say that was so Worth the extra money. Every night we sat outside and looked at the stars and listened to the ocean crashing and again it seemed like something in a dream and magical. And in another note, if you are American as we are— news flash!!—. We are not exactly Europe’s favorite tourists right now. I never felt any animosity at all at this hotel by the staff but one of the taxi drivers not associated with the hotel was rude to us. The employees here are all a class act. Thank you for your kindness!! I didn’t take any pictures of the resort itself just pictures with us in them so sorry for that but you can see how beautiful the view views are from these pictures. Enjoy.

Returned to this fantastic hotel after 20 odd years and it remains a byword for elegance and charm. Fantastic staff and lovely location. Only downside was the pool had very strong chemicals. Sea access from the gardens is really easy so wasn't a big deal for us.

This place is a total disaster. It may look pretty in photos but don’t be fooled. First it’s pretty fax from the historical center much longer than the 10 minute walk they say. the lobby areas are decent but the rooms are horrible, they smell old and dirty with super soft beds and terrible linens/amenities. 5 stars this place is not! So bad that we didn’t even stay the night after being abused by the front desk staff and some really old blonde woman who wouldn’t identify herself and was screaming at us to get off her property! They wouldn’t even let us use the wi-fi to find another place to stay!!! Total scummy place. READ THE BAD REVIEWS AS THEY ARE ALL TRUE WHICH YOU KNOW BECAUSE OF THE WEIRD AND VERY VERY LONG MANAGER RESPONSES. The good reviews are probably fake! Waiting to see what BS response my review gets!!! AND like AI magic there appears now to be a chat GPT response quoting some greek or latin philosopher that has nothing to do with the fact! We didn’t stay because the place is a DUMP and there was a crazy blonde old woman who yelled at us!
