We hosted our wedding weekend at Wandin in March and it was the most incredible time of our lives. Mel and the team went above and beyond to make our weekend the most special occasion we will never forget. When searching for a wedding venue, we came across Wandin and instantly fell in love once we drove through the gates and saw how beautiful the estate is. We then met Mel and we were sold. Throughout our wedding planning journey Mel was just as invested in all the little details of our day as we were. Mel is an incredible asset to the Wandin team and we will be forever grateful that we found her and Wandin Estate. It rained on our wedding day and we had to change the location of both the ceremony and cocktail hour the morning of. The team adjusted so smoothly that our guests didn’t even realise there had been a last minute change. The service the team provided at our reception was exceptional and our guests have not stopped raving about how incredible everything was. We also had a welcome barbecue the day before the wedding and a recovery brunch the day after. These events also ran perfectly and our guests loved them. They were the perfect addition to our wedding weekend. We booked all the on-site accommodation for our family for the weekend. Check in was seamless and we were able to access all the rooms early to leave gifts for our guests before they arrived. Thank you so so much Mel and team!! We sincerely appreciate all the effort you put into our wedding and we’ll never forget our magical day ❤️

We had the most amazing celebration lunch at Wandin. The tasting plate was delicious and very good value for what was served. Wines were paired to perfection and service was great. We could not have chosen a better venue. Note we did not stay at Wandin Valley but couldn’t see how to only review the restaurant. I don’t write many reviews. Only when our experience is above expectations.

I was here for a wedding and it was a beautiful place. The restaurant food was amazing. The people looking after the wedding I attended were so lovely and very organised. I was however disappointed with the Oliver's Cottage I stayed in. The blinds in the room were broken and the bathroom has nowhere for you to sit your soap or shampoo while in the shower. I had to put it on the floor. The light in the bathroom is stuffed and rust all around the bin lid and mould on the ceiling and bugs in the lights. I just thought a place so highly rated would have better and well maintained rooms. I think keeping the elderly in mind could help as no railings for them to get in to the rooms easily as just steps. The view from the room however was beautiful and the Wandin Estate grounds are beautiful. It was a lovely weekend but just wanted to be truthful with my experience. I would come back. The staff also are so friendly and helpful.

Visited with my husband and three young boys for the final Fire Night of the year. The venue was beautiful, with great music and a lovely atmosphere. The food and the bottle of rosé we ordered were enjoyable, and the majority of the staff were friendly and professional. Unfortunately, one interaction significantly impacted our experience. I queued behind a large group to order food and waited approximately 15 minutes. The line grew behind me as well. When I reached the front, I was unexpectedly told I needed to join the line—despite clearly having already queued. I calmly explained multiple times that I had been waiting in line, but one staff member refused to listen or acknowledge this. She insisted I go back to the back of the line, and rather than escalate the situation, I reluctantly went to the back of the now even longer line and waited another 15 minutes to place my order as I needed to feed my family. Kids were already getting restless with the wait already. I left the interaction feeling humiliated and confused as to why I was treated this way. I couldn't help but wonder if it was due to my race—as I appeared to be the only non-Caucasian person in attendance—or was she avoiding disrupting the order of large group that had ordered in front and behind me the first time around as they were from the same group? Either possibility is disgraceful. It’s a real shame, as every other aspect of the evening was truly worth returning for. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures all guests are treated with fairness and respect.
