We had an absolutely lovely time here a few weeks ago. The rooms were very private and romantic for a weekend getaway with my partner, and only a short drive into Malaney or Montville for day trips. There was all the little extra things you need to cook a meal yourself, and even some milk and yoghurts from the local dairy provided. My only critisism I had was that the plug for the spa bath was missing from our room, so we missed out on getting to use it, but I am sure the staff would have been happy to help if we realised before it was too late at night to go and ask. Wonderful place. I would love to stay here again.

Beautiful location, comfortable beds and linen. Provisions were good, and chocolates a nice touch. Communication was good. The amenities were great, and the bath devine. Some lovely walks and cute little donkeys to visit, along with an orientation course to keep the kids busy. A couple of downsides. The lounge suite wasn't comfortable or suitable. There were no curtains in the living area, which made you feel somewhat exposed, especially on the front entrance where the road was partly visible. Needs a little more attention to detail to make it more cosy and inviting and get that full 5 star rating. All in all a lovely stay all the same.

We cancelled 9 days in advance due to a documented family emergency, yet Whispering Valley withheld our full payment of $1431.90 without a trace of empathy. Their 14-day no-refund policy blurs the line between legality and decency — hiding behind fine print while projecting the image of a “welcoming, family-run retreat.” In truth, we found no warmth. Just silence. No offer of credit, no compromise — just a cold transaction cloaked in charm. The experience left us not just out of pocket, but disillusioned by how calculated their customer care truly is. Be careful what’s beneath the surface.
