Built circa 1890, the plantation-style mansion building is at the heart of Woodlands of Marburg. Here you will find a warm ambience, old-world charm and bygone traditions, perfect for a romantic escape in the Ipswich region. Overlooking the picturesque Marburg Valley and two-storey, heritage-listed building, you’ll also be perfectly placed to enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding jacaranda trees, bunya pines and vineyards. Guest facilities include the relaxed Tommy Smith Cafe — serving delicious modern Australian fare — a 19th-century chapel, sprawling manicured gardens, outdoor swimming pool, tennis court, games and recreation room, and ample car parking onsite. Catch a movie at the outdoor Moonshine Theatre on select nights, when classic ’80s flicks are projected onto the big screen by the old rum distillery, or grab a bite to eat at the Sugarmill Restaurant to see inside the mansion itself.
