Check in was ok, it wasn’t very informative of the services available. They drove us to the room on the second tier of the hotel and I must say, first impression of the view was amazing BUT things went down quickly after that. If you are given room 2022 anywhere near Augusta’25, insist on another room but on a lower level. I believe this room has just been cleaned up for high season and is not up to scratch since Covid lockdown. The room key was rusty, no coat hangers, mould around the bathroom light and mirrors, tile hanging off the side of the bathtub, cobwebs in kitchen cupboards, ceiling fans thick with dust, no clothes airer for towels /bathers, Wi-fi didn’t work in room and therefore this affected the use of the TV. This was the all time classic thing wrong with the room, reception told me if we need anything to call, well after complaining twice about the TV and went to call, the phone was just a prop one, not even connected to the wall and upon further investigation the handset didn’t match the phone itself. I booked this room directly with the hotel and they didn’t send an email confirmation of my booking and I reckon they totally double booked and we ended up in a room that had been in Covid hibernation and not any booking.com clients (perhaps worried about reviews) The steps to the room were disgusting- cracked, not safe at all and the gardens were in desperate need of attention. It’s such a shame because, the pool area and gardens were amazing on the lower level, the restaurant and only restaurant around was quite nice and people complained about the breakfast but I thought it was ok. I did raise all my concerns with front office and when the manager was looking for a new room for us, he proceeded to vape whilst sitting in front of me, I found this very unprofessional and to be honest he was useless. Surprisingly the bed in the room was the most comfortable, big and cleanest thing in the entire room. Oh and when the room got cleaned they didn’t replenish my coffee or shower gel etc. if I had a room on the lowest level, I would consider staying again but seriously DO NOT charge 5 star prices for a 1 star room

All negative comments on booking.com are 100% true . I hope the owner of his business take time and will take care of the reviews. Very poor service, food not tasty, and for all cleanness big “0”, no one has clue what is going on. Instead of service you will get only smile !!!! The picture will tell you all 😢
